There are meals that impress people… and then there are meals that actually take care of you. A pot of red lentils, cooked down until soft, rich and deeply comforting. Fresh naan, blistered and warm, ready to scoop every last bite. Masoor Dal is the kind of food that has been feeding people for thousands of years for a reason. It works. It is simple, affordable and honest. No shortcuts, no unnecessary noise. Just real cooking that delivers every single time. Make it once and it quietly becomes part of your weekly rotation. Want the full recipe? Check the link in my bio. Now I want to know...what's your favorite comfort meal?

—On my latest episode, I talk about the Heavyweight Champion, Tom Aspinall, and everything surrounding him. Make no mistake about it. He needs to be in the UFC, and he needs to be in the Ufc right now. Also, managers having such a strong say is a very misguided idea. The manager works for you; fighters need to remind them of that. POV: you throw through the target. This might be the most underrated cue in baseball for increasing pitching velocity. It’s the idea of throwing through the target. Tom House did a study on this. He found that 80 percent of pitching velocity comes from separation and rotation. The other 20 percent comes from how well you track toward the target and direct energy through it. I made this mistake for years. I built a delivery where I would pull off. I tried to create power with rotation alone. What actually happened was I leaked energy sideways instead of directing it through the target. One of my favorite examples is Yamamoto. He doesn’t spin off. All of his energy is directed through and toward the target. He even finishes going forward. Everything goes through the target, not just rotation. Here’s the key. You still need rotation. That’s 80 percent of your pitching velocity. You can throw about 80 percent of your velocity from your knees because of rotation. But if you don’t direct that energy through the target, you’re leaving velocity on the table.

Are you Tired of juggling separate platforms just to run a perp alongside an option, or spending forever manually structuring a trade? Been using Aevo lately and it actually fixes that. Perps + options + their PERPS+ structured plays all live in one account with single margin. I can even collateralize with my BTC/ETH without swapping to USDC first. Way cleaner execution on the stuff I actually trade. If you trade derivatives seriously, join through my link and you’ll get 20% off trading fees while you test it.

in honour of felix saying he wants to create a duo song…… 🐺: Onto the next question! The next question iiiiis: 🐣: If you were to make a song with just the two of you, what concept would you like to take on? 🐺: We already have a unit song in the works right? 🐣: To be honest we're already making a [unit] song- 🐺: But we don't know yet when we can release it. 🐣: Exactly. Chan was already working on this song before, and suddenly he asked me if I didn't want to work on this song together and so I agreed happily to it. It had been a while then since I'd last written lyrics in English, and what can I say about the concept.. It's a bit of a deep concept? 🐺(in English): It's kinda deep, yeah. 🐣: It's deep, and I [want to] say that as you continue listening to it [repeatedly] it has an addictiveness to it. I can't say any more than this. 🐺 🐣: The concept of the song is "Love," right? 🐺(in English): Yeah, kinda, yeah yeah. 🐣: You could also think of it as a "deep love." 🐺: I think the concept kind of changes based on the interpretation by the listener. 🐣: Ah [yeah], based on how you interpret and understand it. 🐺: Lately all the members have been working on creating songs, and Felix has also been working on projects by himself, and we've come to create [this unit song] together to give [him] an opportunity to include it on an album. 🐣: I'm happily working on it every day. HAHAHA. 🐺: Yes~ I want to create [songs] together with Felix from now on as well, but Felix is [often] busy so I always get refused [by him]. 🐣: Always?!

With all the buzz around the Codex App, OpenAI Developers quietly snuck out a new CLI update (0.94.0) as well. And boy is it an important update! Codex Plan mode is now officially released to the general audience! I am very excited about this one as it has a really strong prompt that is unlike any other plan mode I've personally used. Codex Plan mode doesn't necessarily just ask you 3 questions up front. It goes, collects context, asks questions, collects more context, asks more questions (sometimes), and then writes an incredibly high quality plan. It is my favorite implementation of plan mode thus far. It also comes with Codex's own version of "AskUserQuestion!" Although, it only works in Plan mode for now. They really need to allow people to use it in Code mode as well, but one win at a time. npm i -g @openai/codex Below is a demo of how it works. Let me know what you think!

Training to get drafted Day 3: One of the biggest things I’ve been working on lately is my pelvis rotation. I’ve talked about this in the past—how my pelvis wasn’t fully clearing and fully firing. For a long time, I thought the issue was that I just needed to rotate harder. What I started to realize, was that the real problem wasn’t my pelvis at all—it was my foot. Because my foot wasn’t firing, my hip wouldn’t fire correctly, and my knee would try to take over. My cue used to be, “Alright, slam the knee down to rotate the pelvis.” But what was actually happening was my foot would get stuck. It wouldn’t clear. It wouldn’t fire. When I started looking back at video from times when I threw harder, the difference became obvious. My entire foot had cleared and fired. That’s why one of the biggest things I’m working on right now is getting my foot through and fully rotated—firing the foot. Because if I’m able to fire my foot, and you actually feel this, you physically can’t keep your pelvis closed when your foot is in that position. Everything opens. One of my favorite cues for this is “get to my shoelaces.” This is something I got from Albertus, my partner. During the drive phase, all I’m thinking about is getting to my shoelaces. If I can get my foot into that position— I know my pelvis will clear. And if my pelvis clears, I’m going to create elite pelvis rotation. That’s one of my mechanical focuses right now. I’m posting every day until I get drafted. I’ll see you tomorrow.

This is one of my favorite Druckenmiller interviews. He reveals the type of mentality you need to compound at 30% CAGR for almost 3 decades, without a single down year "I am a very competitive person, even though it is just my own money [now]. I wish I wasn't, but I am. Probably one of the reasons why my results are good as they are, but I prefer myself not to be. It is a bit of sickness but it works for me" "I compete against, what I would call, the opportunity set. If there was a great opportunity set that year and I missed it, I am disappointed in myself. If I am up 20%, but I think I should have been up 50%, I am disappointed in myself. If the opportunity set was +10-15%, but I am up 20%, then I am thrilled."

Greetings. I've just pressed the option key and now I am holding it, which is why you see that small reddish capsule at the top of my screen, flashing in synchrony with my voice volume, etcetera. Anyway, I hope that didn't somehow clip the audio. The reason I'm doing this is to show off the fact that I've integrated NVIDIA's new parakeet, or relatively new parakeet, voice transcription speech to text model into Hex, my open source free Mac audio transcription tool. And Parakeet is ridiculously fast, so I will stop rambling in just a moment and release the option key, and it will transcribe and paste into the text box. So yeah, that was very fast. Faster than Whisper. Certainly faster and more accurate than Mac dictation. Uh so yeah, give it a shot and enjoy. The download link to Hex will be uh pasted beneath this transcription.
