My favorite topic in dynamical systems: Chaos!!! This is what got me interested in applied math as an undergrad. The three body problem in planetary dynamics, the double pendulum, turbulence, and more!

@eigensteve what tools do you use to create these stunning visuals? Namely the animations

Mostly matlab or python for plotting and keynote for presentation

Recently wrote about 'Attractor Gradient Descent', a synthesis of dynamic systems and machine learning .(chaos learning)

Neat, will check it out!

My favourite topic in dynamical systems is Chaos too and I discovered more about it and Ergodicity after learning some fundamentals of lagrangian mechanics from David Morin. Funnily, the topic inspired me to conduct research in a field of botany.

@SVDMatrix double pendulum, triple pendulum,..., trouble pendulum;-)

I wish the video was longer, you got me hooked. Very well explained. Surprised @elonmusk hasnt shown up yet.

Even tho God did not bless me with a single math gene, I found this fascinating.

Caos theory is one of the most amazing things in math.

I don't think I've ever seen a lecture of a complex topic so well executed. Bravo - I'll be binging this incredible and fascinating series this week! Serious but tangential question: do you have any suggestions for comparable materials covering the biological sciences?

Awesome thanks!! I think there may be some biology video news soon. Stay tuned :)
