My final #SuicideSquad review is in!

My issue with the "live service thing" comment, is there isn't really any live service yet. I think for some, the mere fact the intention is there just bothers some. Even though nobody has articulated how it's making it worse.

I disagree. I feel like most who have this opinion are stuck on it “should have been something else” and rate it against an invisible, wish metric of something they want Would I have preferred single player? Absolutely. Always my preference Am I enjoying what this is? Yes

Unfortunately, this game is a massive failure and there's nobody to blame but the company leadership. Tying up an extremely talented studio for 9 YEARS to put out a game that most fans can't get 10 hours of enjoyment out of is beyond disappointing. Feel so bad for the dev team.

I haven't played this yet, but his reviews here give me Marvel's Avengers vibe. That's another game that didn't know what it wanted to be & needed to not worry about its online service & just gave you 20-30 characters to play as

when #SuicideSquadGame was announced in 2020 i remember my reaction being ‘so they WANT US to play as the Suicide Squad? this has to be exceptional for it to work’ it’s not that. it’s a looter-shooter with dc characters skin and a short story that undermines a lot from before.

Great review. I can 100% agree with the point of making a great live service and appeasing the Arkham fans don't mesh well for some.

Real gamers are enjoying the hell out of th game, while the weirdo journalists are doing their best to destroy the game cause of their personal dislikes, we really need real gamers to get into journalism for the games and not the clickbait

If it was made by another studio, that doesn't have the weight of expectation that Rocksteady has, it would probably be considered an ok looter. Alas, it's a hollow representation of what might have been had they played to their previous success.

i don’t totally disagree with you but i’m still having a good time with friends. It’s certainly flawed in a lot of ways but the crew i used to play destiny with has found some fun in it. i think we are just trying to fill that gap with the huge final shape delay on D2

I feel this game would’ve been better as a dceased adaption. Like it makes sense you kill zombie heroes and villains and dlc for the various heroes who did end up surviving . Live services sucks for the most part but I feel like that would’ve been easier and less controversial

My biggest issue is just how empty it feels compared to the other Arkham games, like there’s nothing in the world.
