My first baby conundrum, internet give opinions 😂

This was kinda a bit memey as per the edit but the amount of you think it's about selling my car 😂 I don't need or want to sell my car, its about who should fund the 3rd. I own my own car outright, the family car is split so in fairness I think the 3rd should be bought by my wife to make it fair 😂 I understand there are lot of people out there that would need to sell the toy/hobby to fund a baby, first of all if that's what you need to do to fund your kid then 100% they are number 1, but if you don't need to you and we are lucky enough to be in that position then you don't have to throw away everything you love and enjoy including hobbies because you are now a parent. I see it so much where people just sell everything they enjoy because of this, no you are a person and a parent and you can still enjoy other things too!

When you decided on the baby (congrats btw) You also decided to 'lose' the option to take some unsuitable things into parenthood. That being your car, Your partner is about to give you the 1 thing you can not create, the least you can do is make a sacrifice.

For sure, but there is no reason to sacrifice, that's the point. The conundrum is either, I buy the 3rd car, she does, or we do.

She drives the sports car. You stay home with the mom mobile.

She wouldn't want to drive it, rocking up to her school as an assistant headteacher in this 'hey kids'

both of you contribute to a cheapo family run around for the 3rd car you might not like it but is like ~$3k really worth arguing about when push comes to shove your probably gonna be allowed to use that car too if needed, whats the monetary worth of annoying your wife?
