Kicking off year 2 with Penn State Freshman QB Peyton Falzone. Year 1 was a heavy focus on improving rotational quality, posture, stability and sequencing (for effortless power). He came into those first few sessions with a history of elbow pain but that went away completely in the first few weeks as he learned how to tap into the right power systems (AND take his throwing arm out of the power generation equation). His ability to throw for long periods of time w/o tiring and with no loss in velocity was something to see. Year 2 is building on what we started in 2025 and a heavy focus on arm path (accuracy). As a former NFL Scout, I find it VERY interesting that Shedeur Sanders “dirted” his final play of his Pro Day in the 2-Minute Drill instead of making the high pressure throw to the end-zone and risking missing it as his lasting impression. This is also why he took some of his sacks (and yardage losses for his team) instead of throwing the ball away at Colorado the past two seasons. I’ve never seen a quarterback more afraid of making a mistake. The fear of making a mistake is engrained in him (likely from an early age). It’s spray painted all over his game film and poetically, it’s exactly how his Pro Day ended with him bowing out instead of stepping into the moment. The fact he “shied away” from taking the shot in front of the league at the end is VERY telling to me. It’s the take away. Three other impressions of mine from his Pro Day: 1. Average overall looking “arm strength.” There was a “wobble” on a number of his throws and he put too much air under his deep passes. He could not drive the ball much at his indoor Pro Day at 5,430 feet altitude (Boulder Colorado). He “flashed” having “decent” arm strength on a few of his underneath throws but he clearly lacks “arm confidence” and the confidence in himself to drive the ball. 2. Average location placement overall. 3. Pats the ball pre-delivery which telegraphs to defensive backs when and where he’s throwing. There was nothing and I mean nothing special, elite or dominant looking at his Pro Day that was set up in absolute ideal conditions for him. He mostly made short throws and put too much air under his deep throws. I have an undraftable free agent grade on him. He’s a practice squad level talent with a Hall of Fame last name. My dream is to get a second chance in the NFL and on my resume, I am advising teams not to select him in rounds 1-7 in the 2025 NFL Draft. Video credit: NFL

Back in September, I tweeted out asking if Baylor QB Sawyer Robertson was the most slept on QB in this draft class and with a thinned out crop, he's probably going to be a Top 5 QB in this draft class for me when my big board drops. 6’4, 225 lbs., an arm that oozes talent displaying good touch on deep balls and with the ability to layer the ball over second level defenders. He can drive the ball real well with great velocity, make throws off platform and really, can threaten all three levels. I think he doesn’t get enough credit for his pocket presence and overall feel for it plus he’s mobile enough to create out of structure. Robertson does need to be more consistent with his accuracy and I think that starts with him needing to be coached up mechanically because you see the baseball background impact his lower and upper body mechanics at times on tape. But if you’re talking about taking a Day 3 flier on a QB who you can develop and isn’t expected to start immediately, Robertson fits the bill as one of a few intriguing options in this draft. #PhinsUp

In my career, KAT has been the only player that has always been on the team. It’s going to be very odd to cover a Wolves team that he’s not a part of. We’ll dive into the trade plenty — still wrapping my head around it. But for now, want to say I’m grateful for the respect he always treated me with — not a given in this industry, especially as independent media. Karl and I became some version of friends over the years. And for me, that will always be something that will stick with me as the years go on. ✌️KAT

Here are some of the throws Drake Maye missed Sunday that he had been hitting all year. All but the last one came before the Hufanga hit. My thought is ... he's 23. Give him a week of rest, a couple of Motrin and a massage or two, and he'll be full-powered by the time he gets off the plane. (Just keep him away from that electric substation.) (You could also argue the second missed in-cut to Boutte was to protect the receiver and the ball from the safety crashing down.)
