No matter who they'll get they'll never make smth better than this

“All the things you’ve been thinking about, Peter.. they make me sad.”

Spiderman 1 and 2 were so good that they never even attempted to do a straight mainline Spiderman adaptation again. The casting for Aunt May alone scared them from ever trying again.

“take my hand son”

Real humans think “brand new day” is better than this

People like to slate Tobey’s acting but he’s fantastic in the scene with Uncle Ben, you can really feel how defeated he is.

All I ask is for these newer movies to make me FEEL SOMETHING MAN

Scenes with Aunt May and Uncle Ben make me tear up consistently

It’s so fucking peak, I’m so glad this movie is getting brought up as the movie to compare against Brand New Day, so fire to see people once again acknowledge how godtier it is

Seeing that car interior set piece pop up again in the theater after waiting two years for this must have been crazy

Just a ridiculously good movie from start to finish. Very few people have a grasp on the tug of war between Peter and Spider-Man like Raimi did. This movie has the feel of the original Spectacular run where the out of costume stuff is almost more compelling than the Spidey stuff

The part when he dumps his suit straight outta comics, this movie was perfect.

I don't think the 2.1 version improves the scene because the original one is perfect, but after rewatching the extended bit, I teared up a bit.

Not only that, it's extremely dramatic then it follows up the funniest sequence of the movie. No one does it like Sam Raimi!

people will look at mcu slop and prefer that over this. Everything HAS to have a shitty quip now and it's awful. Raimi really knew how to capture lightning in a bottle. I can't bring myself to watch MCU stuff outside of the theaters but I can rewatch this countless times because it feels like a FILM and not a popcorn flick.

they really don't make them like they used to

When Aunt May instantly forgives Peter like a day after his confession and even praises the bravery it took to tell her

This scene and the "I believe there's a hero in all of us" are so beautiful

#OhMyWoo

The apex

i wish tobey wasn’t chopped so ppl would stop pretending his movies are back

Ts means something man, still best spiderman movie

This and all the aunt May scenes.

Big Raimi

honest to god this whole sequence from the doctors appointment to the iconic frame of him leaving the suit in the alley is perfect comic book cinema and no one will ever make anything that good ever again spider man 2 really transcends the genre man

Pure cinema

I remember that one of @HiTopFilms 's first big videos was covering this exact scene actually

In the end, this makes it even more awesome

I’m never gonna let y’all convince me Tom beating this

Wait a second, Why wasn’t this moment interrupted with a smug wisecrack?

This movie was art man. Top 3 greatest superhero movies ever, possibly the best.

These films were just on another level.

Would you rather your children be happy or honorable?

This movie is just so sincere. It rocks
