I’m sorry to tell you this, your grandmother didn’t like you 🫠

Well, I’m wishing you the best of luck surviving the food poisoning.

What are you a Rockefeller?? Who has old steaks in this economy?

Idiot way to ruin a perfectly fine piece of meat. This brown stuff is oxidation - normal reaction of meat to oxygen.

excellent trick for making medium-rare burgers. Just remember to give the burger patties a good long time to come to room temperature before cooking. But do check bathroom is stocked with toilet paper, and you have an empty bucket to keep between the knees while seated.

Moment I saw the knife on the counter (no cutting board)

This is not a good idea. Also, get a damned cutting board, you’re going to ruin your countertops and your knives by doing that. And why would you go the trouble of brining that meat if you wash it? Don’t do that. It’s completely unnecessary. And if you do that you’re more likely to spread bacteria. The salt by itself will take care of it, don’t put it on your countertops and then grind it ffs. So many things wrong.

I see that there’s a lot of people who don’t know the difference between oxidation and expired so let me offer this. Oxidation on your steak doesn’t mean it’s expired. However, if the oxidation is accompanied by odor and/or slime then it is no longer safe to eat.

yeah... dont actually do this. this is a very quick way to kill someone. however, these steaks were fine. just dont be karen lazy, trim your fat for a better grind. it also jams up your grinder a lot less. no need to add salt either. its useless

Yikes… washing and treating decomposed meat with vinegar won’t make it any healthier or edible. Mincing it only masks the breakdown

Your date 10 to 20 minutes after eating the rotten steak!

Rinsing raw meat (with bare hands?) under the sink splashes bacteria all over the kitchen. This is how people get very sick from food poisoning.

the person eating that... the following day.

We just cutting steak directly on a countertop huh? My wife would have my ass

So, nan just wants you out of her life apparently

Looks like oxidation on the surface, just get it cooked and eat up🙄😂

Later that day

This is dangerous. Don't let them get old and freeze them within consumption date.

@FitnessDadx If something goes in the bin there is no chance I’m going back through it to eat it 🤢

Maybe we should first find out why the grandma knows this "hack" Find out the era she lived in. There was probably something that led to them having to eat what shouldn't be eaten.

🙄 The Trump Economy giving us How To Cook Spoiled Meat recipes.

You just ground that bacteria into the meat. Would have had a better chance of possibly cooking it off the surface area, but now it’s mixed in. Good job

Did you grandma also teach use to use a cutting board. That knife edge doesn’t stand s chance 😩

Instead, put it in the trashcan and then take it out again. And then cut on the counter top, instead of a cutting board

Your grandma was likely poor, and had to make everything last..now there is a difference between old steak and steak gone bad…frankly neither is worth the risk..in a related note..condolences to grandma and everyone who somehow died at the last party she threw

A sua Avó deveria vender isso né … Belo truque pra enganar as pessoas

🤮🤮🤮🤮

Your grandma wants you DEAD.

She got her nails done but couldn’t budget for fresh food 😂 priorities are absolutely wild these days.

Even if it was still edible, I WOULD NEVER eat that shit after she tossed it in the trash bin and took it right back out. 🤢 🤮

Engagement farming post. Man the internet is getting trashy.

Any time something starts with or is labeled as "my whoever taught me this" I know it's about to be some bullshit 😂

That is slightly oxidized, not rotten. There is nothing dangerous about that, it is less appealing and in a restaurant because oxidation like that suggests it is not as fresh as your guests should expect so you would not want to serve it, however its not dangerous and all that nonsense they went through in this video, is unnecessary.

So many people in the comments suggesting the meat is rotten... It's just a little oxidation. That steak would have been fine to cook as is.

I'm too high for this shit. Don't use spoiled meat. That's it. That's the advice.
