My last open-source skill, /no-ai-slop, clearly hit a nerve with 4K GitHub stars. Today, I’m introducing /human-review, another free AI skill I think you’ll love. Let’s face it - giving feedback to AI in chat is painful. Asking it to “update the 3rd paragraph” or “update image size to...

This is sick @petergyang! Funny enough I've been running almost exactly this with a skill i created called "/review-page" haha and was just working on a piece about how skills can basically be mini apps

For word docs, I would just tell codex to make them html and then use the annotate feature to request my edits. Of course, this was before voice mode…

Yep the annotate feature is great but I also want to make direct edits to html and markdown.

omg built this for myself (also called it google docs for my text files). was limited to just text edits though! this seems like it also includes visuals i.e. UI so might give it a spin!

Why did I think I was the only one with this problem? Great solution. Can’t wait to try it!

AWESOME! I have been wanting something like this. After editing some pages a project I'm working on, the agent did exactly what it was told to do. I threw a star on there for you. Thanks!!

@petergyang love the idea of /human-review! seems like it’ll make AI feedback way less annoying. curious how it handles complex edits tho?

The real tell that AI-generated code needs a human-review layer: we built an entire cottage industry of skills whose whole job is undoing what the first skill did.

How is this different from annotating and changing setting from codex preview?

Peter Yang 的头像

You can make direct edits to text but yeah ultimately this should just be a harness native feature.

for AI video creation just use @HyperFrames_

i’ve been using claude html artifacts for a similar workflow where I can just edit annotate confirm reject anything from am editor injected but i think this will streamline much better. Nice one.

The "update the 3rd paragraph" loop is painfully real. Curious how human-review structures feedback instead of just re-prompting.

The chat-feedback problem is the same one teams have with goals. "Make it better" and "ship faster" both fail because there's nothing concrete to check the work against. Structure beats vibes the second you need to know if you're actually done.

I’ve been using Deep Skill Finder to look for skills like this, and this one would fit perfectly. If you upload it to the Meyo Skill Marketplace, it’ll be much easier for people to discover.

the review gate is the acceptance contract made visible: pause → human reads diff → approval before merge. that's boss-skill's BMAD shape, and the feedback loop is real: gate verdicts should persist to local state, so the next run starts from what was rejected.

Looks cool! You can have the skill detect if the user is running in and if so open your html file in toastty, right next to your agent sessions

Systematic literature reviews take 12-18 months to complete. Looks like AI is going to fully automate systematic reviews sooner than later. SciSpace ( SciSpace) just launched an autonomous AI agent that conducts a systematic literature review with a single prompt. Go to scispace[.]com and run the following prompt: "Conduct a systematic literature review on [your topic]" SciSpace agent will generate research questions based on the PICO framework. You can review these questions and edit them according to your specific requirements. The agent will also draft screening criteria that you can edit according to your needs. Then the agent asks you to select the databases you want to use and the date range for paper. After this step, everything is fully automated. The agent will search for papers in the relevant databases, it will combine and rerank the papers. Then it will start the title and abstract screening and include the papers that meet the include criteria. In the next step, it will download the full text of included papers and screen them followed by data extraction. Based on the extracted data, it generates a complete systematic literature review and also a PRISMA diagram. It will also give you a table of papers included along with the rational for including them. The only thing that is keeping AI agents to fully automate systematic literature reviews fields is the papers behind paywalls. Check out the agent at scispace[.]com and see if you find its review useful.

Local AI 101: open models, Hugging Face, and businesses to build (38 min masterclass) I still think cloud AI is the default for most things, and honestly it should be, the frontier models are the strongest and easiest to use. But something shifted in the last 4-5 months. You can now run genuinely good open models directly on your own laptop, or even your phone. And once you actually try it, it changes how you think about what AI is even for. LOCAL AI, CLEARLY EXPLAINED: 1. The model is the brain doing the thinking. Gemma, Llama, Mistral, and Qwen are the main families, and each is better at different things, some at reasoning, some at coding, some small enough to run on a phone. 2. Hugging Face is the warehouse where you find them. You go there to see what each model is good at, check the license, and grab the compressed versions that run on a normal computer. 3. The software is what runs the model on your machine. Start with LM Studio if you're not technical, it feels like a normal app where you search, download, and start chatting. Ollama is the one you reach for when you want to plug a model into your own apps. 4. The workflow is the actual product you build on top of it all. That's what I'm ideating around for some businesses to create. I think local AI just made a specific kind of business way easier to start. Find an industry that: 1. Sits on sensitive data they'd never paste into ChatGPT 2. Does the same review over and over 3. Runs on software from 2003 Then build a local AI tool that does that review on their own machine, so the data never leaves the building! Take home health agencies. Nurses write visit notes all day, and if a note is missing a detail, the billing gets denied or the audit flags it. Here's how I'd start: 1. Find 5 small agencies. Offer to review a batch of their notes for them. 2. Run the notes through Gemma locally (free, private, no cloud). Read every output yourself. 3. Write down the 20 issues that keep showing up: missing vitals, vague med changes, notes that don't support the billed level. 4. That list of 20 is your checklist. The checklist is the product. 5. Turn it into a local desktop app that flags those 20 things before a note gets submitted. You just went from a service anyone could offer to a product nobody else has, and you learned exactly what to build by doing the work by hand first. Same recipe works for restoration contractors (draft the damage report on-site before the tech leaves) and wealth advisors (catch the compliance landmine in a client email before it sends). Basically the framework is sensitive data, repeated review, ancient software. I think there are tons of businesses like this! Almost none of it clicked for me until I actually started using local AI. So if you take one thing from this, go run a model on your own machine once. Also a fun thing to try with your friends. Feel free to send this to a friend. The episode is live for free on The Startup Ideas Podcast (SIP) 🧃 (thanks to Google for sponsoring today's episode and supporting local AI) I feel like local AI one of those things you need to try for it to really click. Run one model on your own machine and you'll see what I mean! I go way deeper in the full 38 minute masterclass, the models, the setup, and the businesses to build. Link below.
