To answer the question of what this is, if you disable Exor's left eye it removes his flag for being counted as a boss fight. You then are able to hit it with Geno Whirl. This was considered a bug but the good boys over there just kept this in haha

In the original version on super Nintendo there was a glitch to wear if you knocked out one of the eyes and then had a perfectly timed geno whirl it would do the damage that you see on the screen so they basically kept something that was originally a glitch and made it a feature
