I saw them earlier that year at a fest in Birmingham AL and got to hang out with them. The nicest guys, and they blew City Stages out. I had never heard anything so loud out of doors. Just an incredible live act.

Saw them in Dayton opening for Foo Fighters and Pete Yorn around this time and they blew those guys off the stage

One of the all time great live bands. Midnight set in the rain at Bonnaroo one of the most epic sets in my long history of rock.

One of my favorite live acts. Never disappoints.

I saw them in 2002 open for Ben Kweller in Orlando. The band name sounded emo AF so I skipped the ear plugs. I knew I had made a mistake when they came out looking like a Slayer cover band. One of the best shows I’ve seen a band play. I pity anyone that had to follow them.

Keyboard player needs more hair.

I saw them open up for Doves at Water Street Music Hall that same year. Amazing then and amazing now.
