Lolololololol imagine thinking our oppressor knows us better than we know ourselves. Higher Education is great but let’s not be tone death.. this is AMERICA! Black people are LIVING these experiences, generation after generation! We know EXACTLY why things are the way they are.. you don’t need a degree from a white institution to have an opinion on things happening in OUR community. yall get them degrees and start sounding real white. I don’t like it. ☹️

Gate keeper mentality. Having a degree means you may have acquired knowledge from a higher education institution it doesn’t mean you’re good at processing that knowledge. What she did was just appeal to the authority of the higher education institution. They could’ve had a 2.0 gpa and still graduated with that sociology degree. College may allow for more people to articulate and present an argument based on the subject matter they studied but it doesn’t mean the arguments they present is truth. She presented a premise that spent more time on disrespecting people and less on providing an example that shows the logic of the premise which is, why going to college allows for better assessment of the economic and social perils of “Black Men” not going to college. These people go to college more for the bragging rights and less for the education which will allow them to compete in the labor force. You ever wonder why the majority of them become bureaucrats? I’m university educated and the same information you find in those classes you can find online in numerous media such as journals, magazines, essays, etc. So someone who has the ability to process information can simply reads those media, create a logical premise and present it to the world.

One she said nothing really she just said a lot of jargon quickly & confidently to give the appearance that she knew what the hell she talking about 2 there are so many dumb ass people who graduated from college. There are a large part of the reason why we’re in this predicament

Or I can just Google the countless peer review journals published in the American Association of Sociology and the Department of Education. This isn’t new. People were studying the decline 25 years ago. This topic circulates every 2-3 years.
