TikTok girls have trivialized autism. Like, even in the rare case where a woman is autistic, they still have a far better life than an autistic man. The reality of going through life as an autistic man (especially an autistic BLACK man) is something that is darker than words can express.

The paradox of this is that people who pretend to be neurodivergent actually are neurodivergent in some way because a healthy person with no mental health issues or a condition would never pretend to have one.

I got diagnosed in my early 20s around 2013 or so. People legit acted like they found out I had a terminal illness. Weird how things have changed. I has just been called ADD growing up. I wonder how many people my age never got diagnosed because everything was ADD then.
