"how can you hit the timeline" is not fundamental to any underlining business structure (therefore purely attention economy that is unserious and will continue to attract real builders) you both have good points I will say and actually in most instances both right ... but there's serious issues surrounding the fact that there's no exit plan for a creator if he gets a different job or needs to stop making content. His community will flame him, is he supposed to make content forever? at least with an NFT project you can sell the IP and (if any) underlining business assets)
