If you're playing Mbeumo as a wide forward, you need a fullback that can overlap and underlap him to both create overloads + decoy + passing options In that case, Dalot works better because he does those things much better than Mazraoui However, my preference would be to start Cunha LW, Lacey RW, and Mbeumo CF This allows for Carrick's preferred box-shaped midfield. So instead of the CF/Mbeumo joining Bruno to form the box, Cunha drifts infield. Mbeumo can then stretch It accomplishes multiple things at once: you have the players playing in very suitable areas of the pitch that maximises their strengths. Also forces the Fulham defense to choose between following Cunha/Bruno or looking after Mbeumo

This midfield will never control the tempo of a game. I’d rather play Andrey Santos alongside Kobbie Mainoo. Once Baleba is fit enough to start, then Baleba and Mainoo.

I’m sorry but Mazraoui & Mbeumo doesn’t work, in a back 3 Mazraoui is probably more useful, maybe as a center back but he can’t be a fullback for you in the prem in this current era. Even Morocco don’t use him as a fullback.

I love how people think it’s so easy for players to “be fluid” and interchange positions like it’s a piece of cake. That kind of chemistry and borderline telepathy of know what a fellow player is gonna do and when takes literally MONTHS to build in if not a whole season.
