In a recent interview Hiba Abouk talks about how the divorce between her and Achraf Hakimi came about. I’ll never trust a man again in my life, When i married Akram in 2020 i was deeply in love and i thought we where building something together, 2 months after we got married. finally. i got to see jungkook singing the intro of like animals, namjoon's adlibs AND his chorus. had never seen a single fancam of the intro and witnessing this myself was absolutely maddening. it was the most otherworldly, out-of-body experience, hearing him sing like the angel he is, right there beside you. i would never be able to word this. i was so captivated that my body genuinely forgot how to respond. my legs were trembling i thought they would give up. jungkook is so talented. and above being talented, he makes you feel so much with his voice, recordings could never do it justice. ever.

I should have did this from the start when my nephews friend would come over for playdates eating all of the food. This man was tired of the neighbor kids taking advantage of the fact he keeps a stocked mini fridge with delicious drinks and ice cold fruit and snacks. The man felt bad and didn’t want to cut them off but he was tired of restocking it daily, he came up with a clever compromise, he bought a lock for it. Weeks after I put my foot down and didn’t let the kid come hang out with my nephew anymore, the dad, I think his name was Otis, accused me of being a bad host and petty. He said that when people welcome each other into their home that they should do everything to make them feel comfortable. I replied I agree and we did but lines were crossed and his son took advantage, what silenced him on the spot was when I asked Otis why was my nephew never allowed into his home to experience his generous hospitality, it was always our home. I also reminded him how he still owed me gas money and how weird it was asking a stranger for gas money right after meeting somebody. That’s when he called me petty and that if I couldn’t spare $20 I shouldn’t have given it to him. From that point on I told my nephew that kid wasn’t allowed over and that he was using him. Was I out of line here? His dad sure thinks I was.

One of the moments that surprised and moved me during Shri Siddaramaiah avara press meet was him recalling how my father, Manchanahalli Mahadev, was among the MLAs who stood with him and left the JD(S) to join the Congress. In politics, memories fade quickly, so it was heartening that he still remembered and expressed gratitude to people like my father after all these years. My earliest memories of him go back to childhood. Whenever he came home, there would always be a crowd, and my great-grandmother would have people rush to Hampapura to bring Havbatti, a rare local eel fish he loved. I still remember being amazed watching someone who was clearly very important (he had crowds and for a kid, that’s the metric) happily sit down for a simple meal in our village home in Manchanahalli. I began seeing him more closely after my father won in 2004, and over the years he became a familiar presence around our home and political conversations. Growing up, every time he saw me, he would say, “What, young lady?” and speak with warmth and kindness. The last time I visited him with my father, I still remember how happy he was that I was going to study law. Despite the busy schedule and intensity of his post, he was always warm and approachable. One thing I will never forget is how he came rushing the moment he heard my father had passed away. In politics, where relationships often become transactional, his kindness carried immense meaning for us. Over the years, while my own path diverged into organisational roles, I have always appreciated how extraordinarily knowledgeable, politically astute, and well-read he was. Whatever the political realities of today, he remains one of the tallest architects of social justice Karnataka has seen in modern times. Above all, perhaps selfishly, I am grateful that after all these years, he still remembered and acknowledged the contribution of a man like my father. I was able to recover a few videos and photos from my life in Gaza. This one ripped my heart to pieces. It is a beautiful memory with my son Kinan, who was just nine months old. I had just come home from work and he was waiting for me at the door, sitting in his baby walker. The way my children greeted me every day after work erased every trace of stress and exhaustion. I watch the video over and over, taking in every detail. I see the floor tiles and remember how many times we struggled to choose them, how many stores we visited searching for the most beautiful, the best. Those days were tiring, but they were full of joy. I see the living room curtains in the background, the couch, and I think of how perfect they were. My home was beautiful. I chose everything with care, the best and the most beautiful for that home. Now I have nothing from that video. Not my clothes. Not my child’s clothes. Not his walker. Not the couch. Not the curtains. Not the tiles. Nothing. All I have left is the ache of longing for my home.

ALERT: Hospital ran out of anti-venom trying to save a father of 3 who was bitten twice by a rattlesnake. Christopher Howarth was visiting his parents in Oroville, California, and went into their backyard to check on a leaking pipe. Howarth stepped on what he thought was a plant, but it turned out to be a deadly rattlesnake that bit him twice on the foot. the reason jaehyun cried during forever you today was woonhak’s grandma 🥹🤍 🐶 actually… my parents are here watching today. when i was little, i used to hate it whenever my dad came home after having a drink and tried to give me a kiss. but now that i’m an adult, i’ve gotten older, and it suddenly hit me that my dad was the only one who was always on my side. i thought about that a lot, and those thoughts were what i wrote the lyrics from. when i realised my dad was watching today, i got really emotional. but i actually didn’t cry because of that! 🐶 today’s main character of the tears is someone else! it wasn’t my mom or dad! today, woonhak’s grandma came to the concert. before we went on stage, i met woonhak’s parents, and his grandma smiled, hugged me, and said, “aren’t you the hyung who loves our woonhak the most? our jaehyunie~” and she hugged me like that. but her face stayed so vividly in my mind that when woonhak’s part started, i couldn’t hold back my tears.
