Using leverage only works when you have leverage.

You're acting like fans are okay with coaches and conferences using their leverage to get what they want, but that's not true. Fans get upset when coaches jump ship, and they've been upset about conference realignment. I see no difference in how fans are treating the Nico situation compared to how they treated the other two.

honestly let him walk. he's too much about the money not about the game.

No one asked or forced these kids to be professionals in college. The premise of this argument just isn’t real.

Did you read this? Curious. It’s a bad situation, on both sides. But, we also can’t act like the timing of this, from both ends, isn’t a look that will affect PR for the school. Nico should get his, obviously. But these deals can be handled better

He didn’t actually have leverage, dumbass, which is why they let him walk. Instead, he’s a dumb kid with even dumber advisors who might have just made him a little more money (maybe)… at the expense of his national reputation and his NFL stock.

Counterpoint. When those coaches or teams leave their conference there are exit fees or buyouts paid. That however is not the case with players. They take millions from fans then dip when someone offers more. That’s not how the business or professional world works.
