I’ve been in a state of shock and cried so much. We Hindus are all feeling the trauma. We also fear for ourselves in the United Kingdom due to the fact that even the labour party is spreading hatred towards Hindus here in the UK.

Our government has condemned in the strongest terms the appalling mistreatment of civilians, including Canadians, aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla. Today, in the House of Commons, I reiterated our government’s position. The safety and security of Canadians abroad will always be our top priority, and we will continue to engage directly with Israeli authorities at the highest levels on this matter. At the same time, we continue to work to find permanent solutions for the people of Gaza, all Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace and security with Israel and Palestine living side by side.
