If a Rep Congress with a Rep President is too incompetent, what exactly would a Dem congress do better with a Rep President still in charge. I can’t see the logic behind punitive voting

I think Democrats have issues with competency as well but at least they aren't as chaotic and Biden's term was much calmer and much more stable and predictable than what is going on now

I really don’t think calm and predictability are good measures of a government, especially when what is being predicted is a decline in QoL as it usually is under dems. I also think having the balance of power change hands every two years sounds like the opposite of stability

Calm and predictability is what makes investment into the future possible. Dems aren't ideal, as I said. But I rather have slow decline than rapid decline. Although I would rather have no decline at all, of course.

I don’t see a future worth investing in under dems. Their decline seems much more rapid than reps. Giving them power to further aggravate the right is going to create more unrest and chaos. And like I said, switching gears after two years does not offer stability to the country.
