My thoughts on the latest with Kirk Cousins

With all due respect, Fran, Kirk was paid 100 million guaranteed to take the Falcons to the playoffs in arguably the worst division of the entire NFL. Like he was with us, he was supposed to be the missing piece for a Super Bowl run. If he’s such a great player he wouldn’t have been benched nor would he be leading the NFL QBs in interceptions and fumbles.

@KirkCousins8 Agreed 100%. And to anyone who wants to send hate towards Cousins remember you aren’t just attacking a player but, a father, a husband, and a christian. One bad game shouldn’t takeaway what he’s brought to this program. We should be looking forward to seeing him lead our Falcons.

@KirkCousins8 Your 18 years in the NFL were spent playing a very different game. I remember you broke your fibula in ‘77 and retired the following year. I think players today (Kirk, Aaron, etc.) are pushing the post-injury envelope. But, I’ll agree, the benching was unfortunate.

@KirkCousins8 Disposable mentality is what it is Fran. Plus the young guy will bring in the next generation of fans. That what the owners view is. There is no loyalty left in this world. Those generations are retired or just tired of fighting. To many fans have never played team sports.
