You are creating a false equivavelncy. When Russia stops fighting the war ends. When Ukraine stops fighting Ukraine stops existing. As shown at the beginning of the war Russia wants the whole of Ukraine but just wasnt able to take. Its Not about muh „500 qm“ somewhere

The plan is to make the price for further fighting this war instead of peace for Russia so high that they just stop fighting and sign a peace agreement. This is possible through giving Ukraine everything that it needs, sanctions and deep strikes.

How is that working out?

Russia spends half of its annual budget on this war, looses massive potential profits because of the sanctions and the deep strikes are a new strategic problem. Thats not viable for long Sooner or later the voices inside the Kremlin who want peace will get the upper hand

You're hitting on something uncomfortable that few appreciate. The biggest most well armed country in europe is engaged in an unyielding war of agression and refuses to stop despite losing millions in pop and immiseration. This is THE worst non-nuclear thing that could happen.

If you want Ukraine to win, there needs to be a strategy. A new strategy. The current strategy doesn’t seem to be working, if there even is one.

Obviously because Trump is pro russia The strategy needs to be complete support of Ukraine. 100% maximal weapons support. Basically anything besides ground troops and nukes

There is no 100% support for Ukraine. That’s the problem. And it doesn’t help that Trump probably hates Zelensky on a personal level.

And then what happens if AfD wins in Germany or FN wins in France and they pull support for Ukraine? You never know which direction Europe might swing either. And it’s not a guarantee Democrats will win the next election. This is all rather bleak.

Putin could announce tomorrow that the invasion is over & his men should start packing to head home The killing would come to a stop, peace could finally be had - Ukrainians could begin to pickup the pieces of their homes destroyed by russian imperialists

Putin isn’t going to announce anything tomorrow. Or the day after. Could, should, ought to, etc… all sound great. Except he won’t do it. And there is no strategy to make him do anything.

Good video. I just hate that it got to this point. I agree at some point there needs to be a strategic end to this war without conceding much at all to Putin but also not letting what happened to Mariupol happen to every other Ukrainian city (which is a really fucking hard task)

This is the thought process I had over a year ago once the war came to a stalemate. Neither Trump nor Zelensky have the negotiation chops to end this conflict. When they met in 25 I wanted Ukr. to make an offer to Russia because it would prevent loss of a generation of men.
