I don’t think he trapped you. I think he didn’t view his hand as strong as it was and just wanted to get to showdown

Bro just fold pre, or 4bet bluff if you insist on continuing

Every bluff that works: Genius move, wow, he is so good. Every bluff that doesn’t work: Idiot, bad combo, no way he was folding, serious punt, what were you thinking… It’s so easy to be results oriented.

“we’re suuuuper deep” >like 2.5x STP “not sensing strength from his bet size” literally the most standard GTO size as played so far cmon man we can do better

Pretty easy 4 bet or fold here, bro. Calling the worst of the 3 options.

Trying to look cool on camera is way more important than winning 10 million.

It is so funny hearing "I'm not sensing a lot of strength from him" as he clearly leans over to look at your stack

Love it. That gets through you win the whole thing.

Fucking hell, Kev. This is fancy play syndrome.

I don't think he was trapping he just didn't realize how strong his had was.

You kinda sorta almost got a fold, this doesn’t seem horrific

Learn to give up on pots. Not every pot needs to be won, even if he did have AK

More entertaining than Poker Wars, at least.

Glad you could talk yourself through such a devastating and retarded read.

1)opponent 3bet in blinds (usually very strong) 2)opponent lead bet from out of position (very strong) 3)you turn bet for 33% pot after just saying small bets are weak. What could you honestly have here? (He calls again, very strong) 4)you jam after spades miss (looks bluff)

fold pre

If you really watch back the footage. You can see why he bet small on flop. What hands make this small c bet? 1 pair hands Tht are not top pair and top 1 pair hands Tht are afraid of sets and 2 pair hands that will come over the top. When you just called the flop you gave him the green light to call down. Especially when the board paired . You were set in your read and didn’t waver from it. But playing live is a lot more than online. Especially the flow aspect of it. Each street you should be reevaluating what his range is and not be set in your read. Always be able to adjust your read. From what I saw his is a decent player but plays very straight forward with his value hands.

In fairness, Pokernews reported the river as a 3c which makes you look like an absolute mug with a mega punt. The 6c river changes that. Still a punt, but I've stopped laughing at you now. Their AI slop reporting has been awful this WSOP

u can def. check turn and go to sd imo. but when u bet ott u have to bluff only on spade rivers. i would give up river as played…

I just watched the clip with your commentary. The only question you forgot to ask yourself was "What did he 3-bet with pre?" Now I'm not at the table so I don't have a "feel" for that player or have knowledge of his capabilities, but you mention 77, 88, 99, even JJ. Would these be in his 3-bet range? Most players call with those from the SB, especially 100+bb deep. AA, KK, QQ, AK and AQ, are more likely holdings in that spot. Also, in poker it always seems like the bigger A is to the left, and they all beat your holding in this case. Best of luck on the next one. Go get that bracelet! Hopefully we will see you around the Deerfoot streets for the Circuit in October, or even the SuperStack next month.

What were you repping ?

You are absolute trash bags.

Sounds like you trapped yourself in bluff city...

@beardedmiguel I’m sorry Kevin that is a tough one. Poker is a technical game. Sometimes that goes through. Tonight in our poker discord we are having a live chat on bluffing how, when and why. Anyone that wants to come discuss and do a brief PowerPoint on learning all things bluffing join!

Take the free river check and see if your ace holds to live another day

Poker is alive baby

😂😂😂

Preflop is fine, I think turn we have weaker hands to barrel, we have some showdown with AJo, I would have preferred river jam in your spot when the flush completes

No such thing as blockers

wow kevin, you should preflop hes never gona 3bet wide their when alot players limp you raise and he 3bet in sb ( those clowns dont bluf their g ) plus ok you called but then you call hes minbet on flop? (terrible bro) but ok shit can happens but then he checks turn and you pt2

If u put him on AX S any other hand u mentioned ur better off betting 50K same result rather than risking ur stack u donkey fish.

In the words of Phil Helmuth, don't put all your chips in unless you are pretty sure you have the best hand. Tough game...

Yeah maybe play lower stakes

Roflcopter in full flight pre
