She ain't lying! This is a street view from 2008. I suspect this is a rental/tax scam. It's supposed to be 'mixed use_, but they probably just rent the apartments on the second floor. Maybe they get a tax break from mixed use or it's a required on the loan. Maybe Airbnb? I'm just guessing.

Caution: people who snoop and ask too many questions about those kind of places might end up in a ditch somewhere.

It actually does need to be investigated. At the very minimum, I guarantee it is being used as a tax scam.
