Products seized included antibiotics, anti-diabetics, anti-hypertensives, psychoactive substances, antimalarials, aphrodisiacs, unregistered vaccines and banned drugs such as tramadol (above 100 mg) and codeine. Unwholesome food, cosmetics, and chemicals were also confiscated.

In continuation of the agency's clean up enforcement operation to rid the State of criminal elements, the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce set out at about 0020hrs on 10th January, 2026, and embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation on the Mainland area of the State. The team observed the entire road, along Akowonjo by Cele busstop has been converted to beer parlor, drug peddling at different level taking place and presence of criminal elements. During the clean up operation, the team ensured the entire area was completely cleared of violation of the State environmental laws and ward off criminal activities. All chairs and tables and other items spread all over the road, preventing free flow of traffic were all seized. During the operation, 56 suspects were arrested and will be arraigned in court as soon as possible. #ZeroToleranceLagos

In a statement signed by the Media Information Officer Headquarters Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba says, Abu Khalid, identified as the second-in-command of Boko Haram in the Sambisa Forest, was neutralised by troops of Sector 1, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, during an engagement at the Komala area of Konduga Local Government Area at about 11:00 p.m. The operation came barely 24 hours after the elimination of another notorious commander, Julaibib, in the Gujba axis of the Timbuktu Triangle. Abu Khalid was a key figure in the terrorist hierarchy, responsible for coordinating operations and logistics within the Sambisa axis. Items recovered during the operation included five AK-47 rifles, magazines, bicycles, assorted logistics and food items, as well as large quantities of medical supplies. No casualty was recorded among the troops. Clearance operations are ongoing across the Sambisa Forest, Mandara Mountains, Timbuktu Triangle and other terrorist hideouts in the North-East.
