As someone who’s done DoorDash, he made this a bigger deal than it is. You show up, click confirm pickup, grab the food, then leave. Dudes an idiot.

Here's the deal: she's asking him to click “confirm order” on his phone, and then show her that he did so. If they give him the food and he hasn't confirmed, he could cancel the order and then Doordash won't pay for it. From her tone, they’ve been ripped off this way before.

The “Karen” is in the right. I ordered from pieology the other day and driver took the order then texted me to cancel it since they “weren’t” open even though they were(would’ve charged me if I did cancel). When I didn’t, they took the food and cancelled the order. This is why these delivery apps are more strict about confirming the order these days to crack down on this delivery theft

The real Karen is the person filming. This underpaid lady is just doing her job.

I agree. She’s doing her job to verify he is actually the delivery driver. Him saying “It’s an issue with you. you’re not gonna see my phone” shows he was looking to instigate and cause a scene, in my opinion. She’s a W employee! Give her a raise!
