My commute to work has a on ramp to a freeway thats been under construction since I got the job 4 years ago. Its still not done. Its literally just an on ramp not even a full lane, like I dont get it😭

It makes no sense because it feels like it NEVER gets done where I see other places build ramps & bridges within like 2 years lol y'all working on a STREET for 5+ wtf lol

I remember they reduced a three lane down to one miles back. When we finally got up to the road work, it was two guys on their phones on the sidewalk in construction vests. No work trucks, no work being done just standing there watching what they created

A lot of construction is happening because Biden passed a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which kickstarted overdue projects. So yeah it’s necessary, but major cities do overnight construction all the time. So it’s definitely possible.

smallest bridge ever been worked on / built for like 5 years now still no end in sight been using the temporary bridge the entire time which is mad narrow and creates traffic

Chinese engineers can reconstruct an entire intersection in 24 hours, but it takes Americans 24 weeks to dig out the space for just one section of road (not even the base layers, just cutting/digging)

I literally took a class that talked about these sort of construction/product making deadlines. They will milk the fuck out of those days.

They have occupied an entire lane for like 10 blocks and it doesn't seem like much is even being done except for on the first block. It's fucking been like that for a good month now.

The city i live in has been fixing it's roads. When they finished up to the intersetion where on/off ramps were, they destroyed the entire pavement overnight but left it open during the day, and the following night they placed the new concrete. It was very satisfying😂

We shouldn't be working any more than 4 hours a day.

Currently they brought our interstate to 2 lanes to 1 lane and the off ramp that goes to my job is closed so I had to take the frontage road and now they closed the frontage road to do work on that so now my commute went from being 20 minutes to about 40 every day now.
