Nah, this can’t be real. Same GPT-5.6 Sol. Same task. Same thinking level. I switched from regular Codex to the Claude Code harness, and the result instantly became way better. Claude Code is somehow making every model cook. GPT-5.6 SOL WAS ALREADY TOP TIER!! 😭

GPT-5.6 Sol is a major leap from 5.5. Fable 5 still wins on spacing, balance, and first-pass polish. For me, Sol comes close at half the cost.

this is f**king gold someone just figured out how to run Claude Fable 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol in the same loop gpt-5.6 came out yesterday. fable 5 leaves in 48 hours. this window has never existed before and never will again. here is how to use it: 1. open claude code. install openai's codex plugin 2. type /model. choose fable 5. 3. drop one ROUTING.md in your repo root (full file in comments). 4.paste the prompt (in comments), write what feature you want. boom. save and bookmark this no matter what. it will be the most productive thing you do this weekend

I was wrong about Kimi K3 Just tried it in Claude Code and it is Fable 5 level for sure Far better than GPT-5.6 Sol at least at front-end It is really slow and consumes a lot of tokens but it is so good at completing its task, I like what I see here Kimi.ai

The character pipeline is moving forward: animations are now working. I lost some time because Codex occasionally switched GPT-5.6 Sol back to Light/Medium by default, and the difference in task execution was immediately noticeable. After switching back to GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra, progress was much smoother. Using animations from Mixamo, the character can now idle, walk, run and jump. Next: shoes, skin variations and different body types. Then I need to decide what this project should become: • A character generator website? • A reusable Codex skill? • An open-source GitHub repo? What would be the most useful?
