We literally see sword slashes hit faces with no damage… not until the sequence ends where she plunges the sword into his neck. Until that part, it’s not realistic at all. Die by the Blade, Bushido Blade, For Honor… Those are realistic fighting games. A slash happens, limbs fall off, there is visual damage and death occurs.
