Here’s a scene where a filmmaker went “God Mode.”

This scene in Inception 🔥

The Copacabana tracking shot in Goodfellas (1990). A steadicam shot taking us into the glamour, VIP access, and power of mob life.

Mad Max: Fury Road is two hours of God Mode with no cutscenes 😅

Is there any better example than this?

Fury Road final drive.

The T. rex breakout in Jurassic Park. Still unbeatable.

The car scene in Children of Men

The end of Unforgiven strips away any glory that would be seen on older westerns. In the end, six men are dead, and Clint Eastwood, synonymous with the Western genre, threatens to k!ll more, burn houses down. You’re left with a feeling of dread, not victory. Absolutely incredible

the freaking warehouse scene from BvS

Tenet - the inverted time fight scene was like nothing I had ever seen before. Peak cinema!

Aliens - Gunfight

Omaha Beach - Spielberg!

The Raid 2 Final Fight.

The Last Samurai - Ambush Scene

the entire film of Enter the Void

This scene too

 ̄

We Were Soldiers - “Broken Arrow”

Michael Mann, Heat 🔥

Michael Mann changing how gun fights should be shot in Heat’s downtown LA shootout

Easy

This whole movie 🙌

A recent example would be Christopher Nolan with a few scenes from The Odyssey, my favorite being the Trojan Horse sequence. But my all time pick would be the Baptism scene from The Godfather. Francis Ford Coppola might’ve reinvented ’God Mode’ with that one.
