The first time I heard Rooster by Alice in Chains right after it hit the airwaves. I was God struck in memory of the stories my pops told me of his Three tours in Vietnam. Rooster was played at his funeral at Arlington. RIP Dad

"With Arms Wide Open" by Creed hit different after my first child was born.

First off f*ck your bitch and the click you claim. 2pac

Freebird💥my dad always played it on the way home from Hockey Practice. I called it the "chaaaange song" as a child. Now as an adult, the song has helped me throughout life in realizing in order to live a full life, I needed to be myself, not care about responses to my humor💥

“Flight of Icarus” by Iron Maiden. The first song that got me into metal, and by extension playing the bass and guitar Up the irons!

Ace of Base - The Sign

That would be TOOL’s Wings for Marie (Part 1) / 10,000 Days (Wings Part 2), no question.

Bring Me to Life- Evanescence. I remember the first time I heard that intro. I was working with my dad and suspended from school, and the first time I cussed in front of my dad without realizing it immediately. Little me " turn that shit up" and so he did.🤘🙂

Freak on a Leash. I t took a bit to understand Korn, but I figured it out.

At different times in life; what immediately jumps out. Learning to fly Tom Petty I left LeJune on a bus to Little Creek. First time on my own. I have to include Baba O'Riley and In your eyes !

Megadeth - À tout le monde (especially when paired with this image)

Stranglehold: Ted Nugent #MotorCityMadMan

I Can Only Imagine

If it ain’t this then you need to reevaluate things

For just completely different reasons, but this song changed my life and made me realize how much joy can be prevalent and can spread

The only picture I have left of my best friend and I is us playing a guitar together. We were playing “Two of Us” by The Beatles. I can’t listen to that song anymore without tearing up. He was a brother to me and he is sorely missed. My kids would have loved him.

Stranglehold by Uncle Ted got my attention after Toys in the Attic by Aerosmith made me play guitar. I’m old as dirt so f you. lol

Tom Petty- Runnin Down A Dream

One by Metallica

I'll give you 3. Massachusetts - the Bee Gees Beck - Lost Cause Semisonic - Closing Time

Touch my ass at the truck stop by Zach Bryan.

Immediately following 9/11 I was up in my head like "what's the f'ng point anymore" and this tune came on the radio and saved me from myself --

In The End- Linkin Park Started my love of heavy rock and rock/rap. Came out when I was 10. Didn’t even hear it until I was in high school and Meteora was released the year prior to hearing it. 4 years late to the party.

Limelight by Rush. I heard it first in prolly 1983? It echoed EVERYTHING I was feeling as a boy becoming a man. It became my ANTHEM as an introverted Libertarian. Neil Peart is my Spirit Animal.

Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears

War Pigs. I was 8 or 9, my uncle played it on LP and everything changed...

Boston - More than a feeling

Dragula - Rob Zombie

The kids aren’t alright by the Offspring was mine I was like 10 years old the first time I heard it

Amazing grace.

Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. If you have ever lost your mom or granny, you will be balling like I still do every time I hear it

Warmth, Incubus

Gold Gutter - by Five Finger Death Punch. I misheard a line, and everything snapped into focus. i then broke down at work crying, and I finally gave up the bottle after 16 years as an alcoholic.
