Michigan Democrat Rep Hillary Scholten says 160k women in her district (Grand Rapids and west) won’t be able to register to vote because they didn’t change their name on their “ID and BIRTH certificate” when they got married. THOUGHTS - If you took your husbands last name on marriage license, you’re required to update ID in Michigan - approx $9 As for the birth certificate name change comment - that’s what the marriage certificate is for 🙄 FINDINGS - if you believe this woman, you probably shouldn’t vote.

"How 'Bout Us" (1981) Do you remember hearing this one on the radio? It was first recorded in 1975, then reworked and became their biggest hit in 1981. Do you know their name?

"How many are needed? How many are needed? How many try to ride my wave? How many want my name? How many have discipline? How many understand? How many have been where I've been? How many understand me from the inside?" — LISA, SaWaDiKa This lyric hits even harder when you look at Lisa’s journey. Each question feels like she’s asking the industry and the people who tried to define, profit from, or replace her: “How many are needed?” How many people would it take to replace Lisa? She has become a complete artist—singer, rapper, dancer, performer, fashion figure, and now an artist building her own company and career outside the system that created her. “How many try to ride my wave?” Lisa created a wave of her own, and there will always be people trying to benefit from it, imitate it, or capitalize on her name and influence. But riding someone’s wave is not the same as creating it. “How many want my name?” Her name has become a powerful identity and brand. Even the fact that her name became part of a trademark dispute after YG registered “LISA” highlights how valuable that identity became. Yet Lisa herself is the person who gave that name its meaning. “How many have discipline?” This one may be the most powerful. Lisa started singing and dancing as a child. At 14, she left Thailand alone to pursue her dream in another country, entering an unfamiliar environment and enduring years of intense training. She has spoken about how she didn’t dare speak up or express her thoughts and had been living that way since she was 14. And that brings us to: “How many understand me from the inside?” People can copy a hairstyle. They can copy an outfit. They can chase numbers. They can try to follow a formula. But they cannot copy the years that made Lisa who she is. They didn’t live through her childhood training. They didn’t leave their home country at 14. They didn’t spend years learning to survive in an industry where they felt they couldn’t even speak their mind. They didn’t carry the pressure, criticism, racism, sexism and misogyny she faced while continuing to work toward her dream. That’s why “How many?” feels less like arrogance and more like a challenge. How many can actually do what I did? How many can endure what I endured? How many can understand what it took to become me? There may be many talented people. There may be many who want her position. There may even be people trying to find the “next Lisa.” But there is only one Lisa. 🖤 And perhaps the most powerful thing she’s doing now is finally having the freedom to say all of this in her own voice. Xin Zhao became Zaahen. Shouldn't his name be Xin Zhow then, because how the fuck did this champ make it to live?

If you knew this was coming within the next 200 years, you would stop caring about sports, World Cups, jobs, and division, and start thinking about how humanity can survive the event, right? Well, the elites did just that. They calculated that it was best to keep you blinded and entertained while they prepared to survive. But not in the name of humanity—only in the name of their own bloodlines.

This 1958 cover was rewritten by this artist to make it her own. A sultry, jazz‑pop arrangement, became her signature hit and one of the most famous versions of the song. Name the artist if you can.

"The Flame" (1988) was written by outside songwriters, and the band was pushed to record it during a slump in their career. It became one of their biggest hits and reached No. 1. Can you name the band?

It's been 10 years since Brooke Henderson won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Sahalee with sister Brittany on the bag. It was Brittany's first win on tour with Brooke. This morning, Brittany gave birth to her first child before Brooke teed off in the first round. Mom and daughter are doing well. And her name? Well, i's familiar. "Her name is Sahalee, which really means a lot to our whole family, and the meaning high heavenly grounds also has a very special connection."

I don’t know but this to me was the most satisfying parallel. Her sad while saying her name is Yildiz Kordağli and that he’s her husband to her saying her name proudly and that he’s her cousin #Yilser #HalefKöklerinÇağrısı

This will obviously make it hard for the child to function in our current government infested world but I totally respect the sentiment. She should at least record the birth on the inside cover of their family Bible (if they have one). Many states recognize this as proof of birth.

Millions of married women changed their last name… but somehow Amy Klobuchar doesn’t think they can handle ID requirements? I got an enhanced license. I needed my Social Security info, current license, marriage certificate, W2, electric bill, even my birth certificate… just to prove who I am. Never mind I’ve had this name for decades, licenses in multiple states, and passports. So which is it? Are women capable and independent, or suddenly helpless when it comes to showing ID? Funny how Democrats only “care” when it’s election season. Minnesota deserves better. They cannot afford another disaster like Walz.

No but it was rather unhinged to put their unit’s name on his neck. And the fact that it was entirely his idea… well. That was certainly a choice.

This song was almost recorded by Air Supply, but the songwriter, refused to let them change the lyrics. It was then recorded by Laura Branigan in '83 and became a hit. This artist/songwriter later recorded his own version in '90, Name this artist.

Everyone knows her name, right? And this song? She was just 14 when she recorded "Delta Dawn" and had only recently turned 15 when she performed it on Hee Haw in 1973. Columbia Records reportedly tried to downplay her age at first. Once people found out how young she was, it became part of the story.
