After eight difficult months, Nara Smith shared that her 2-year-old daughter, Whimsy, is officially in remission. ❤️ She shared that she and husband Lucky Blue Smith waited until Whimsy had completed treatment and they knew the outcome before opening up publicly about her cancer diagnosis, saying they wanted to first process the experience privately as a family. Nara said watching her daughter go through chemotherapy opened her eyes to the emotional and financial burden so many families face during childhood cancer, which is why she’s now using her platform to raise awareness and share resources for families currently in the fight. While she says she and Lucky are slowly trying to return to everyday life, she admitted she isn’t sure life will ever feel “normal” again after everything they’ve been through. She ended her update by thanking everyone for their prayers and support, while sending love to families still navigating their own cancer journeys. ❤️ To support other families who are navigating childhood cancer, you can check out the GoFundMe link Nara created:

JUST IN: Rassie Nkuna (left pic) and Mathibe Chego have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders of Lucky and Sabeilewe Mogashoa. -The family of the late Sabeilewe Mogashoa has given permission to share a deeply emotional voice note from her daughter, who was just one year old when Sabeilewe and her husband Lucky were brutally murdered in front of their then eight-year-old son and one-year-old daughter. In the voice note, the child speaks about how much she misses both her parents. Her grandmother gently explains to her that the police worked tirelessly to find the “bad man” responsible for taking her parents away. That “bad man” is Rassie Nkuna, who has since been brought before the courts and is being sentenced today for the killings. Behind every investigation is a family waiting for answers. Behind every arrest is a victim whose life was taken and loved ones whose lives were forever changed. This voice note is a painful reminder of why police work matters, and why the pursuit of justice must never stop. SA Police Service 🇿🇦 shares it with the permission of the family and with the utmost respect for the children, their family and the memory of Sabeilewe and her husband.
