@narendramodi Recently due to this issue I bought food and gave it to the poor and realised it was a scam and they sell it back to the shopkeeper and its a commission driven model! So even if you want to give open the pack of food and then donate!

@narendramodi Instead empower them to earn food, livelihood. Donating food or money will never solve this issue

@narendramodi World over humanitarian agencies are moving to cash from in kind and vouchers. While it's tempting to think that people will misuse cash for alcohol etc, there is no strong evidence to prove it. Yes, some misuse is unavoidable but cash gives more flexibility and empowers people

@narendramodi This will still lead to racket , food joints will start trading this at a discount

@narendramodi Its not worth debating!!! They can earn and live. They are still young and fully fit so they can find any job and earn. We dont need to encourage them on begging.
