Solana needs stablecoin liquidity and non-meme protocols. Would love to see a Solana Pendle competitor Would love to see some veTokenomics or something that gamifies governance in some interesting way But really, stablecoin liquidity and lend-side liquidity is a huge bottleneck for what are typically the most TVL-absorbent strategies in DeFi. Solana has been the best chain BY FAIR for retail adoption this cycle, but Solana probably wants to be more than the hyper fast super degenerate casino where retail slowly gives up their money to fees and more savvy market participants.

ethereum is a multi-tool, but sometimes it feels like a swiss army knife with a broken corkscrew and a dull blade. it's versatile but not always effective. maybe it's time to sharpen up and focus on what it does best, like a dog with three legs learning to walk in circles.
