I don’t think you have to completely remove his ignorance but he could be a fan boy of the past hokages without being good at a lot of stuff in school. If he’s been an orphan it’d make sense for him not to have a proper education in everything.

Naruto being a bit of a history nerd about the Hokages only complements his desire to be Hokage. After hearing about the Hokages and how they are acknowledged, he decides to be one. So he learns about the Hokages some more. History nerd beyond that is really weird. 😂

Its more likely that he is obsessed with the Hokages and their histories because he looks up to them so much.
