@esa "Am I a joke to you?"

@esa @grok Explain the Rosalind Franklin mission. [Dates] [Mission Goals] [Instruments On board] [Timeline]

@esa Can we send a robot with an autonomous AI mind aboard to Mars?

Is it really the best idea for NASA to continue relations with a group of nations that are willing to go to war with us over Greenland? And Unwilling to help us in a war with Iran, when I ran, literally has the capability and the want to destroy them. NASA doesn’t need the esa. We have the best scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovative companies that can do literally anything we want to do. It isn’t in the best interest of the USA to continue relations with those who hate us.

@SpaceIntel101 @esa NASA, Take a picture for this mountain on mars, pls

@esa the rosalind franklin rover was literally sitting on the launchpad in 2022 when the world fell apart. by the time this thing actually touches martian dust it will be using 15-year-old tech to look for signs of life.

So stupid to sideline Watson and Crick who were able to understand the true structure of DNA with the help of Rosalind’s terrific crystallography image. She deserves credit for that but no for the actual discovery of the chemical orientation of DNA. People just want to get mad at old male scientists who were a product of a male chauvinist culture in science. But Watson and Crick still did the working out of the structure of DNA. Franklin deserves credit in the assist though.

@esa Wait….isnt that what all current NASA rovers are doing? And…have been doing for a decade+?

@esa Bravo! Here is how radiation endangers electronics on MARS missions, and how to protect data on Radiation Hardened microchips:

@esa when i go ill make sure to blow the dust off the solar panels :)

It’s good that the Rosalind Franklin rover, built in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England, is finally getting its ride to Mars. It’s a fascinating mission — the first in the search for finding signs of life, present or past, below the surface of Mars, shielded from radiation. The 6 foot / 2-metre drill is an advanced development. Amazing. It’s welcoming that NASA and ESA are teaming up with SpaceX and its Falcon Heavy to make this possible. It will be exciting to watch the launch in 2028. 🚀

@esa Test it here on Earth. Send it to Capitol Hill and search for signs of life in the Senate.

@esa Отличные новости!

@esa Question. How come Toyota is making 7-foot-high robots that play basketball, and your rover looks like this? I'm not being snarky, I'm asking seriously. I know that 99% of "robots" today are marketing hype, but still NASA's seem to lack agility.

@esa Drilling below the surface is a very clever move, if life ever existed on Mars, that’s where the traces are most likely to survive.

@esa Great,will it be hitching a ride on Starship ? To also be a Surveyor of buildable sights with Mr Musk's @elonmusk companies?

@esa so why does it have solar panels bro, they better know how to keep it clean

@esa Love that its design is derivative of Spirit and Opportunity! But wasn't the Viking program the first so search for life? Or did you mean rovers specifically?

@esa Will this be getting the “sky crane” treatment?

Rosalind Franklin isn’t just another surface-scratching rover—it’s the first to drill 2 meters deep into Mars, pulling pristine subsurface samples shielded from billions of years of radiation and oxidation at the clay-rich Oxia Planum site. Those protected cores feed its unmatched onboard lab, led by the ultra-sensitive Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer plus Raman and hyperspectral tools, to detect complex organics and hunt real biosignatures far better than Curiosity or Perseverance ever could. This targeted leap finally moves Mars science beyond “maybe habitable” toward concrete answers on whether life ever existed there.

@esa @BrianCoryDobbs they plan to land next to Cydonia, not terribly far heh.

@esa Just don't ask it to search for intelligent life on Earth. It'd probably self destruct. 🤣

NASA just greenlit help for Europe’s Rosalind Franklin rover launching in 2028 on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy! It’s the first Mars rover that can drill 2 meters deep underground to hunt for signs of ancient (or even current) life, protected from harsh radiation and chemicals on the surface. Exciting step forward in the search for Martian microbes! 🚀🪐

@esa All i see is more ai bullshit and money laundering to a dead agency thats not fuckin needed

@esa The Viking landers un 1976 were the first to search for signs of past or present life under the Red Planet’s surface.

@esa Meanwhile 😆

@esa Why does this rover look like path finder? Can’t we get more advanced rover designs?

@esa So you're giving more technology to China via the ESA to keep them quiet?

Cute Mission but Colonization of Mars before late 2028 and the use of AI Robots and Astronauts is a much better and more effective mission. Rovers are ok, but a higher probability of failure without personnel on the Moonnor Mars for Monitoring, Controls and Technical assist for repairs and preventive maintenance. Thank You, Next Level Kort, “Just Do It, Be The First”

@NASAScience_ @esa 😯😯😯🥹😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🖖

@esa Moronic name. How about name it after the real discoverers of DNA?

@esa What excites me about missions like Rosalind Franklin is how much they depend on robust sensing and system reliability, not just scientific ambition. Harsh environments expose every weak link.

@esa Great! Please be reliable this time and not drop out again.

@esa Ingenuity proved Mars flight works. So why keep sending yet another slow rover that can get stuck on rocks? Why not go for a large drone explorer that could cover vast distances freely. Time to think bigger and fly higher.

@esa Pitty my ex brother in law is not around to see the new one.
