NASA's black hole visualization uses supercomputers to simulate the extreme gravitational effects near these cosmic phenomena. The simulation shows how light bends and distorts as it approaches the event horizon, creating mesmerizing visual effects. This visualization is based on Einstein's theory of general relativity, which predicts how massive objects warp spacetime. The supercomputers at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center processed terabytes of data to render this stunning, scientifically accurate depiction of a black hole's environment.
