While visiting the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, I lowered my underwater camera beneath the bridge connecting Nassau and Paradise Island to see what was hiding below the surface, and it didn't disappoint. The bridge pilings were covered with life, from colorful parrotfish, queen angelfish, blue tangs, butterflyfish, grunts, and squirrelfish to plenty of other fascinating reef species. In this narrated video, I identify many of the fish I encountered and share some interesting facts about their behavior and the important role they play in the reef ecosystem. Come explore the underwater world beneath one of the Bahamas' busiest bridges and discover the amazing marine life that most visitors never know is there. They sailed it to the nearest British port. ⚓ 128 of them walked off into freedom that day. 🇬🇧 And America wanted them back. 🇺🇸 Madison Washington had been born enslaved in Virginia. He escaped to Canada in 1840 and made it to freedom. Most enslaved people who reached Canada never went back. Madison Washington went back. His wife Susan was still in Virginia. He couldn't leave her there. He didn't reach her. He was recaptured. Sold. Put on the Creole, bound for the New Orleans slave markets. So were eighteen other men who had decided this voyage would not end the way it was supposed to. One of them was called Ben Blacksmith. Ben Blacksmith had heard a story. The year before, an American slave ship called the Hermosa had run aground in the Bahamas. The Bahamas were British. ⚓ British magistrates had boarded the ship, taken the 38 enslaved people off, and freed them under British law. That was the story Ben Blacksmith carried with him onto the Creole. On 7 November 1841, the rebels took the ship. They killed one slave trader. They wounded the captain but kept him alive. They needed him to navigate. Their first instinct was Liberia. The captain told them they didn't have enough food or water to cross the Atlantic. That was when Ben Blacksmith spoke. They turned the ship toward the Bahamas. When the Creole sailed into Nassau harbour, something extraordinary happened. Small boats put out from the shore, rowed by Black Bahamian mariners. Most of them had once been enslaved themselves. All of them were now free under British law. They surrounded the Creole. They were there to make sure the rebels could not be taken back. A British colonial officer came aboard. He was clear. Under British law, slavery was illegal. Anyone aboard the Creole who had been enslaved was, from that moment, free. ⚖️ A hundred and eleven walked off the Creole into freedom that day. The Friendly Society of Nassau housed them, fed them, found them work. Madison Washington and sixteen others were held to face trial. In Washington, the news arrived with fury. The Secretary of State, Daniel Webster, demanded the rebels back to face charges of mutiny and murder. Southern politicians demanded compensation. Some called for war with Britain. Britain refused. 🇬🇧 For five months. Through every threat. In April 1842, the Admiralty Court in Nassau ruled. The men had been illegally held as slaves under British law. $17 Million… 2 Hours… Bridge Strike. 🚤 A brand-new chapter for a superyacht turned into an expensive hiccup in the Bahamas. The 49.3-meter (162-foot) Amels motor yacht Vibrance had just been delivered to its new owner after a brokerage sale involving Edmiston, Cecil Wright & Partners, and Fraser. Barely two hours into ownership, the vessel made contact with a pillar of the Paradise Island Bridge in Nassau while maneuvering near Hurricane Hole Marina. Video footage shows the port bow side scraping the structure, damaging the freshly painted metallic hull. No injuries were reported, and the yacht later berthed safely. Observers noted it may have involved a brief loss of power or control in the tricky currents and confined area, though the exact cause remains unclear. 🚨 BREAKING: Former CIA and NASA officials engage in multi-year long study of UFO “super experiencer” Chris Bledsoe (Chris Bledsoe). They give him “exotic metal” testing his reactions, take him through off-limits parts of Kennedy Space Center and even claim to give a message Bledsoe received from a contact experience directly to President Obama🚨 Chris Bledsoe had a life-changing UFO experience in 2007 which led to direct interactions with beings and eventually a feminine figure he calls “The Lady”. That’s when NASA showed up at his doorstep; he spent years in direct contact with Hal Povenmire and Tim Taylor; the latter, a senior NASA mission controller. In this episode, Bledsoe describes Taylor’s involvement in recovered exotic materials, a trip he takes Bledsoe on to Zanesville, Ohio, the birthplace of anti-gravity researcher Thomas Townsend Brown, and Taylor and Brown’s bizarre past connections that Taylor claims involves secret time travel technology. 1. NASA’s Interest In UFOs: Tim Taylor is a longtime NASA mission controller whose career dates back to the Space Shuttle era. Bledsoe says Taylor came to his home with credentials spanning NASA, the CIA, NRO etc. tested his entire family with exotic metal, and concluded Bledsoe had undergone direct contact based on his physical reaction. 2. The Metal Test: Taylor placed two different metal samples in Bledsoe’s hands. One behaved like rigid aluminum. The other resembled foil that could not crease and appeared to transmit a current between samples. When combined, Bledsoe experienced a sudden neurological reaction that caused Taylor to pull the metal away and say he had only seen two similar reactions before. 3. UFO Crash Retrieval Trip: Taylor later took Bledsoe to Zanesville, Ohio, where they retrieved a piece of anomalous metal from a private individual. The object reportedly fell glowing from the sky years earlier and was stored untouched for over a decade. Taylor brought Bledsoe to a machine shop to cut the metal, took one portion, and returned the other to the owner. 4. Why Zanesville Matters: Zanesville is the birthplace of Thomas Townsend Brown, the mid-20th century physicist who conducted classified electrogravitics research and worked with military and intelligence-linked aerospace programs. Brown’s work remains tied to early anti-gravity experiments referenced in declassified documents and foreign intelligence reports. 5.
