Pierre Poilievre says that the great thing about home building is that "it's Trump proof." "He cannot put tariffs on housing that we keep in our own country. It is by definition a homegrown industry, so when we're facing a losing trade war with China, with the United States and with others, why not build more here at home?" In my opinion, his anti-Trump rhetoric alienated him from a lot of conservative voters in Canada and had a lot to do with why he lost the election. If he keeps this up, I don't think he'll fare any better in the next. Leave the elbows up junk to Carney and the Liberals.

It's about membership, and also about strategy for defending our country. We need strong security guarantees so that the rest of the world, or some countries, will be ready to respond to Putin if he comes back with his aggression, or when he comes again. ◾️ It's not about me. We have to think about the next generation. We have to think about the next people who will sit in our chairs, and they have to manage this. We can't give them an empty paper. We need strong security guarantees. ◾️ I can't trust the person who killed so many people in Ukraine and who began a full-scale invasion against my nation. But in any way, it's not about trust. It's about deciding how to end the war. ◾️ I'm not sure that our teams can really decide the question of the land. At the end, it's our people who accept the peace deal or not. On this day, 45 years ago, Paul Schrader's "Hardcore" (1979) was released in the USA. George C. Scott & Paul Schrader did not get along during the filming of 'Hardcore' (1979), so much that at one point Scott called the movie "a piece of sh*t", refused to come out of his trailer and threatened to quit the film. Scott only agreed to come out after Schrader got down on his knees & promised Scott that he would never direct another movie. (A promise which he didn't keep) Here is the full story: ""It was always a big melodrama working with George," Schrader commented, "but it was worth it, because you were getting a performance. What's really painful is when you're having trouble with an actor and you're not getting a performance. As long as you're getting a performance, it's all worth it." A particularly melodramatic moment occurred when Scott was not needed for three or four hours while shooting in the red light district of San Francisco. The lights were set up for a series of shots to look into a bar. When the lights were shifted for the setup with Scott coming into the bar, all he had to do was enter, say two words, and walk out. When the crew was ready, he had been kept waiting for several hours and refused to come out of his trailer. When Schrader went in, Scott was in his underwear with a bottle of vodka by his side. In his continuing “Pool Monologues,” Trump hits a record ELEVEN AND A HALF MINUTES sitting with the NATO Secretary. I cannot emphasize enough… Try and read it. I dare you. 1/3 “The pool? Yes. It's in great shape. No. Ready? Thugs. They just told me a little while ago. Six have been arrested and like six or seven are under arrest. They have pictures and everything else. They went to the bottom and it's not a paint job. It's very expensive. It's not rubber but it's like rubber. And they went down with probably a box cutter or a very sharp razor of some kind of a knife. They cut and then they started ripping it up. You know why? Because there's sick people. And then the side of the pool, right at the water level, they took razors and they started cutting this very expensive stuff. It's incredible stuff. It's beautiful. And it's still beautiful. We have one area where they cut it. It's still holding. It's not leaking. But they hurt it so probably maybe after July 4th or maybe before. I don't know. 'Prophet' Kevin Leal is VERY UPSET we called him a "self-styled prophet" and shared a video of him having a teenager eat a bible page, calling us demonic gossipers and ripping us a new one. Lumping us with Maranatha Express, a news aggregator that frequently uses our content, he has several objections to the video and commentary: -We never called his ministry or asked him about it before we shared portions of his public video. -We suggested his actions were unbiblical, which lowered his trust with his followers and caused them to doubt and question his prophetic ministry (This seems to be the main objection.) -We said he ate a page from the bible, when it was only a "2x2 inch portion" (It was larger than that, but we digress.) - Says we don't care about the fact that after this teen ate the bible page, he apparently stopped looking at porn and got right with God, and so the 'prophetic action bore good fruit.' -Notes that having the young man eat the portion of the bible page is "not illegal, unethical, immoral, or unbiblical. It's just that you didn't like it. So, you've made yourself a tool of Satan, and you have become the accuser of the brethren." -Can't believe we would ever be skeptical of his books which are about dream interpretation, and doesn't understand why someone would suggest it's not a valid spiritual gift. -Is upset we called him a 'false prophet,' which we never did. In a recent interview, Colonel Nobel of the Massachusetts State Police stated that public trust was compromised by Michael Proctor on a "personal level" and not on a "operational level". Let me be so ever-living clear about this: those of us in the state (and especially in Norfolk County) overwhelmingly do not have trust in the state police. The conversations I've had with the women in my life who are afraid of being around state police. My non-white friends who are nervous when they see a state cruiser. One of my black friends said that he "always makes sure his hands are on 10 and 2 when around staties". That we can't trust the cops to not treat innocent individuals with dignity or transparency. This isn't personal. This is systemic. It wasn't just the Karen Read trial. It was the investigation of the murder of John O'Keefe. Of Sandra Birchmore. Of Ana Walshe. When the system quietly disciplines officers like Buhkenik, Tully and DiCiccio. When the system promotes an officer like Kotkowski. When the system protects an officer like Fanning. When the system fights for the rights of Proctor.. this is why we don't trust you operationally. It's not over some taillight or texts, it's the community seeing the behavioral patterns as a whole. It should not take criminal activity by one officer, and a failed public relations campaign, for a colonel to recognize (and change) this.

Let me be so ever-living clear about this: those of us in the state (and especially in Norfolk County) overwhelmingly do not have trust in the state police. The conversations I've had with the women in my life who are afraid of being around state police. My non-white friends who are nervous when they see a state cruiser. One of my black friends said that he "always makes sure his hands are on 10 and 2 when around staties". That we can't trust the cops to not treat innocent individuals with dignity or transparency. This isn't personal. This is systemic. It wasn't just the Karen Read trial. It was the investigation of the murder of John O'Keefe. Of Sandra Birchmore. Of Ana Walshe. When the system quietly disciplines officers like Buhkenik, Tully and DiCiccio. When the system promotes an officer like Kotkowski. When the system protects an officer like Fanning. When the system fights for the rights of Proctor.. this is why we don't trust you operationally. It's not over some taillight or texts, it's the community seeing the behavioral patterns as a whole. It should not take criminal activity by one officer, and a failed public relations campaign, for a colonel to recognize (and change) this.

🚨EXCLUSIVE🚨 Joe Kent, former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center who resigned in principled opposition to the Iran War, spoke with our Chairman Dan McKnight at the Ron Paul Institute. Kent was an early endorser of Defend The Guard in 2022. "When I saw the casualties starting to come in, that for me was like, this is going to keep going and I can't be a part of this. Kent's proposal is that the Trump administration take a page from Ronald Reagan, and use his precedent from Lebanon in 1984 to withdraw our troops from the Middle East—removing Iranian targets—and let the situation deescalate in lieu of a final deal. "I would like to say to [the president] as a supporter, I truly believe in your message and your mission. You did do amazing things for this country. Come back—77 million of us do still support you; you can walk this back. We want to help you." So far, National Guard units from 18 states have participated in the Iran War, continuing to act as the backbone of the U.S. Armed Forces. "The dirty secret of the War on Terror, but really a lot of our enduring overseas deployments, is we need the Guard to actually do those. When I was over in Syria...I visited with the Iowa National Guard. They were running most the operations inside of Syria, they were the ones who lost those three to the Al-Qaeda insider attack. So, the U.S. military would be in a very bad way if they couldn't immediately grab National Guard guys to fill in all these different gaps and capabilities." Kent supports the Defend the Guard Act, which would prohibit the deployment of a state's National Guard into overseas combat unless Congress has voted to declare war, utilizing federalism as a way to enforce Article I, Section 8. "I think the states grabbing control of that, it gives us more power as the American people." "We definitely have a problem right now where we want an empire, and we're not very good at empire, and it's costing us our republic," Kent counseled. Our organization was founded in 2019 by veterans of the Global War on Terror opposed to endless, undeclared wars. Kent said he'd like to see more veterans take up initiative for the good of the country. "I don't get a lot of push back from War on Terror vets. I get a lot of support. And I think the more War on Terror vets we have step up into some sort of leadership position, especially in the foreign policy realm, I think the better off we'll be because we can say this is a bad idea. I think had more of us been in the room when these decisions were being made on this last iteration of war, I don't think it would have happened." When asked why it's so difficult for the ideas of Dr. Paul to penetrate Congress and the bureaucracy, Kent explained, "There's no special interest groups that are going to get rich by saying we don't need more war...There's just so many moneyed interests which are making a killing off of sending us to war."
