The whistleblower allegedly discovered that the state’s programming automatically registers non-citizens to vote when they change their address. When the issue was raised internally, a supervisor reportedly said local clerks would catch it downstream. There’s just one problem: The local clerk himself says they CAN’T. “Once it’s in the qualified voter file, there’s no way for me to verify citizenship,” Olson said. In other words, the system allegedly putting non-citizens onto the rolls is relying on local clerks to catch them, but those clerks may not have the ability to verify citizenship in the first place. Now Olson is inviting the federal government to step in and help verify his voter rolls, as Harmeet K. I asked important questions at the elections committee hearing about how we are going to validate citizenship status before registering a voter, and this is the reaction I got from the Democrat Party in Sacramento. The DMV previously admitted that they allowed non-citizens to register to vote. And the worst part is they wrote the law so that anyone who registers to vote through the DMV is IMMUNE from prosecution. They have effectively legalized fraud. They don’t like being asked important questions in a public setting. They prefer to make policy behind closed doors and using NDAs. What are they afraid of?
