National Team is not a development. If a player is good enough, should be ready to play.

Brazil took Ronaldo to US ’94 to watch. Dr Jomo Sono took Steven Pienaar and Jabu Pule to 2002 World Cup to watch. Why all of a sudden people have issues with these two kids?

The great Ronaldo of Brazil 🇧🇷 was in the 94’ World Cup squad but he didn’t play in that tournament. He went on to win the World Cup in 2002 and Balon d’or in his career. There are many other such examples and in other sports including in our Springboks. Relax guys.

He had three National Caps before the tournament.

If he took a player like Mdu Tshabalala, who has been part of the set up, I would understand. Taking players with zero cap and you want them to have their debut in the major tournament.

But these are fringe players and future national team players hence we have to slowly integrate them into national football

He has a point. I saw the Zim coach bring on a 16 year old, Cameroon has a 19 year old striker. Campbell didn’t even get 15 minutes against Zimbabwe for goodness sake. Ay angazi

Some comments especially those supporting this fan, shows why you are not the national team coach or coach of anything… problem is when fans want to become coaches, your opinion and emotional outbursts are noted, until you get your badges and coach something. 🥳🤟🏾

But you cannot be know it all you have never coached before never mind playing for a National Team. Countries like Brazil do take potential National Team players to such tournaments

You're shortsighted, we qualified for the FIFA WC 2026. Introducing these boys during the World Cup would be throwing them into the deep end.

@MboniseniMakha2 You make a good case. Rele also not getting a start. Rayners and Kekana would definitely have given depth in their respective positions.

And then wena, how many national teams have you coached and qualified for AFCON and World Cup?

Profilbild von Amenadeil

These boys were not supposed to go with the national team at all. Look, now we have no impactful striker, no number 10. I would have opted for G Arrows Ndlovu, Rayners over these boys.

In fact, CHAN and COSAFA are there or used for such by some other team.

Exactly, that is where you provide such as exposure and test the player's character. We had U/20 AFCON and World Cup, the club refused to release a player.

This is reckless and entirely unnecessary! Hugo made the right call by focusing on nurturing our young, promising footballers.

This is facts brother! The slots on the bench should be filled with players ready to make an impactful change to the game! E.g Zwane and Lorch

Guy is not a coach for a reason; he is barking insignificant garbage and the like minded are giving it platform and airtime. Let the coach do his job.

National teams can be used for agtever reason the coach and association deems fit. They can be developmental, they can be used to win titles or whatever. Look at rugby and the development of players they have undertaken.

But that's true I've never seen L to any flight ✈️ or Train 🚆. We needed Kekane, Zwane, Thapelo Rayners & Thembinkosi on the field injured or not they deserve it with their energy we did qualified. I forget the other Sundowns player scarface or suffocate

When Bafana were down and out , we never had people commenting. Now the real coach had done the job , his way now we have a little of coaches shouting instructions on social media.

The success of rugby and cricket is based on this approach. Ronaldo set on the bench in World Cup 94 while Romario and Bebeto were mesmerising only to win it in Korea/Japan

Hugo's arrogance works in his favour, I don't think we would have been where we are now if he had a different personality. Whatever choice he makes I support him, today we are respected in the game because of what the coach has done.

Not every player will the tournament patience is key in football ,when a coach puts on a player and flops people complain, why did he rush to put him on this particular game. Their time will definitely come!

Unwise by Broos to include these two, effectively sacrificing spaces for in-form players. Allowing them to train with the senior team would have been sufficient. To block a spaces by selecting players who are not yet ready to deliver does not help the team in its quest.

Being part of the team is not only about the 11 in the field. It’s about the culture of the national team. Even if they don’t ply a minute at AFCON, those boys will tell you how happy and grateful and how much they learned being there. They are being prepared for the future.
