Police in Jinja City have, on the directives of the Resident City Commissioner, blocked a local annual event dubbed the Endigito Tunga Ntunge festival, which was slated for tomorrow, December 7, 2025, claiming that the event will be used as a political podium for opposition leaders in the Country. The organisers, Busoga One Radio, owned by National Unity Platform coordinator for Busoga West and National Unity Platform flagbearer for Jinja South East Constituency, Mr Paul Mwiru, had earlier complained to the Minister for Internal Affairs, Gen (rtd) Kahinda Otafire, who, on December 5, wrote a letter clearing the event.
