Nauseating. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson can’t handle a tough question from the press—that’s why he’s been running away, dodging questions. Instead, he ran to Rachel Maddow for a gushing softball interview about him taking on the “big bad” President Donald J. Trump and the looming deportation raids. Maddow, ever...

A Statement from Reporter William J. Kelly on Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Threats and Intimidation Tactics Against Him Mayor Brandon Johnson until now, I’ve spoken solely as a reporter representing the people of Chicago. Today, I also speak for myself. Your brutish and increasingly aggressive behavior against me at last Thursday’s City Hall press conference—and others before it—is deeply alarming. I’m not afraid of you, Mr. Mayor. But your threats, misuse of your security detail to harass and intimidate me and attempts to censor my questions are nothing but thug tactics. You’ve called President-Elect Donald J. Trump a dictator, yet your actions—cutting my mic, demanding I address your wife, Stacy, as the “First Lady” with fake chivalry, and censoring my questions—mirror those of every evil strongman dictator in history. This abuse of power is a direct attack on the First Amendment at its core. Last Thursday, you likened President-Elect #Trump’s deportation plan for illegal immigrants to Hitler’s gas chambers, which is why I questioned you about the impact of your dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric on securing the federal funding you need for your “permanent migrant resettlement plan.” I know you were angry about that question, which you didn’t even answer—that’s why you aggressively interrupted and threatened me. You were furious that day because you were mortified by a 50-0 loss for your $300 million migrant tax, but that’s no excuse for boorish behavior. Your reckless migrant spending is bankrupting Chicago and hurting everyday residents. I won’t stop asking you tough, detailed questions you can’t escape with wordy, filibuster-style answers. Chicagoans deserve the truth. Shame on you, Mayor Johnson. Chicago doesn’t back down, and neither do I. #thatreporter

WHAT? Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Says Law Enforcement is a ‘Sickness’ That Hasn’t Led to Safer Cities | Mike LaChance, The Gateway Pundit Is Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson completely crazy? It sure looks that way. He recently commented that law enforcement is a ‘sickness’ and that it has not led to safer cities. This is obviously part of his ongoing refusal to allow President Trump to send resources to Chicago in an effort to curb the city’s rampant problem of violent crime. It’s amazing that Johnson has somehow managed to be an even worse mayor for Chicago than Lori Lightfoot. He is clearly in over his head in this role. Townhall reports: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Says Law Enforcement Is a ‘Sickness’ That Doesn’t Make Communities Safer The city of Chicago has a crime problem. Everyone knows it, including Chicago’s mayor, Brandon Johnson, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. Pritzker himself said crime is just a part of big city life, just after a bloody Labor Day weekend where 54 people were shot and seven were killed. Mayor Johnson took a more theological approach, saying jailing criminals is “racist, unholy and doesn’t lower violent crime rates.” That was on August 25, a week before all the mayhem in Chicago. We’re now halfway through September, and Mayor Johnson continues to object to putting criminals in prison… In Washington, DC, President Trump’s push to stop crime has, in fact, reduced crime. The nation’s capital saw a stretch of at least ten days with zero homicides. This isn’t even the first time Johnson has made this incredibly stupid point. He said something similar in August. This is all such an insult to the people of Chicago. How long will they put up with it? Read more:

🚨 DHIMMI MAYOR BRANDON JOHNSON CALLS CHICAGO THE “HOLY CITY” WHILE BOWING TO ISLAM In his latest speech at the Eid celebration, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson didn’t just pander, he fully submitted. He joked about his beard going gray, thanked the Arab American Engagement Council, and declared Chicago’s Muslim community the “soul of Chicago” and “vital” to the city’s fabric. He praised them as “leaders on the front lines for social change,” called Ramadan values of “compassion and generosity” something that must continue year-round, and then dropped the bomb: “I will work every single day to root out the evils that have separated our communities… As long as I’m mayor, I will use every single tool available to me to protect our beloved city.” Translation: He’s not protecting Chicagoans. He’s protecting his new political base - the same groups he’s been hosting in City Hall for Ramadan and Eid prayers. And the kicker? He called Chicago “the greatest, most amazing, holy city in the world.” A “holy city” - for who, exactly? This is full dhimmitude. While Chicago’s streets bleed from crime, Johnson is busy celebrating endless wars abroad, fighting “dividers,” and turning the city into a launchpad for Islamic political power. He’s not the mayor anymore. He’s the dhimmi in chief, gray beard and all. Chicago isn’t being celebrated. It’s being conquered from within.

Just 586 days since his swearing-in, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has, in my view as both a reporter and a lifelong Chicagoan, inflicted staggering harm on an already fragile city. He has shattered the social contract with the people of Chicago, submitting completely to his CTU handlers. At every turn, he has relied on threats, lies, and underhanded, deceitful—if not outright unlawful—tactics to push his agenda. Meanwhile, he’s siphoned off hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars to line the pockets of his allies at the CTU, in the City Council, with handpicked vendors, and beyond. Both of my parents were Chicago Public School teachers, and Johnson, along with CTU President Stacy Davis Gates, has delivered yet another black eye to educators. Last night’s shameless power and money grab wasn’t just bold—it was a brazen attack on the public trust, the likes of which Chicago hasn’t seen in decades. It feels as though they’ve become the armed criminals who rob Chicagoans daily—except this time, the robbery is playing out right in front of us. And let’s not forget the irony: our Vice Mayor, Ald. Walter Burnett, is a convicted bank robber (and former accused kidnapper, though that charge was dropped). Chicagoans, it seems, are being robbed at every level. I have never been more disgusted with a sitting Chicago mayor—and that’s no small statement given this city’s history. Johnson’s election was a terrible moment for Chicago, though, admittedly, the alternatives weren’t great. But the reality is, Chicago cannot endure two more years of this chaos. We are already at the breaking point. If Chicago voters don’t wise up and start digging into who these candidates are—who they serve and which machines they’re beholden to—then we are doomed. We're already doomed. #thatreporter

WATCH: Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker comes out strongly today against Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s “head tax” proposal. “I am absolutely foursquare opposed to a head tax for the city of Chicago. It penalizes the very thing that we want, which is more employment in the city of Chicago. It makes it very hard to attract companies from outside the city to come in and harder for companies already here to stay.” Pritzker also said Johnson needs to work harder to find efficiencies in the city budget, rather than threatening the economic growth of the city and state with a new tax on jobs. “Balancing the budget for the state of Illinois and for the city of Chicago is vital. It can’t be ignored, it has to be done, but it shouldn’t be done with a head tax in the city of Chicago… “I am confident the city can do it. Look, you’ve got to start with efficiencies. You’ve got to go into city government—and I haven’t seen any of that in this budget so far. That’s going to have to happen because there are going to be changes. People are not going to like certain kinds of revenue enhancements that he’s got in his budget. So you’ve got to find efficiencies, and there are efficiencies to be found—some with technology, some because we have departments doing things that maybe we don’t need done. And finally, how about we do our best to attract, retain, and grow businesses in the city of Chicago, because that, again, is the best way for us to pay the bills.” Under Johnson’s proposal all companies employing 100+ people in Chicago would have to pay a tax of $21 per employee per month. As Pritzker correctly points out, it’s a punishment for creating jobs.

🚨 Raw video from today’s bizarre, unhinged presser with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. He is clearly freaked out by me and terrified of my questions. Knowing he is so sensitive, I told him I was sorry if my questions FELT threatening. But his neighbors in Austin - the neighborhood that he and his wife moved into from Elgin - don’t feel threatened by my questions — they feel threatened by the underage & illegal youth block party that spurred multiple mass shootings and left two young people dead under his nose, and others wounded. I asked him: “Your neighbors in Austin tell me they don’t feel threatened by my questions — they feel threatened by your anti-curfew policies leading to out-of-control violent teenagers murdering people. What do you say to those neighbors who feel threatened by your policies?” Instead of answering, Johnson lashed out at me. I followed up: “You’re the one having panic attacks. You’re not keeping Chicago safe. What do you say to Donald Trump? How did you feel when Donald Trump called you incompetent?” Johnson’s answer? Not about the shootings or victims. Instead, he made an odd remark about the “intellectual prowess of black men” and added a strange sexual innuendo about Trump. It isn’t normal for a Chicago Mayor to act this way. When you see this, you understand why President Trump and others question his competency. #thatreporter H/T SubX.News®, Truth Teller TV
