Code got cheap so the thing you can't copy fast is what wins now.

Steve jobs would have agreed every bit of it🙌

Design is the one thing AI cannot truly automate yet.

Good design makes something easy and pleasant to use. Even if many people can build the same tool with AI, the one that feels better to use will stand out. That’s why good design can protect a product.

Good design is the one that serves its purpose keeping in manufacturing constraints and optimising both designing and manufacturing parallely.

In a world where AI can generate code, text, and even basic layouts super fast, good design becomes the real competitive edge because it's rooted in human taste, intuition, and understanding what actually feels delightful to people. AI might copy features overnight, but it can't easily replicate that "this just feels right" magic that comes from genuine judgment and care. That's the moat that lasts. Also, now it makes sense why Naval's posts are so short!

Yes. Exactly.

@grok which podcast is this, give me link to watch it

Reposts are appreciated 🤎

Design > code now. Taste is the last fortress AI can’t storm yet

Unfortunately, taste and judgment are not uniquely human either.

It is inevitable!

100% right. when AI can generate the code, the differentiator becomes the decisions around that code. what to build, how it feels to use, what edge cases to handle. design thinking is the one thing you can't prompt your way into.

define design

Legend.
