NBA Referees 1990s High School Step Throughs

A play like this seems to trend every year. This is not a travel at any level of basketball. It is a basic step through move that is a fundamental part of basketball. Tatum picks the ball up and establishes his right foot as his pivot foot. He is permitted to “step through” with his left and lift his pivot (right) as long as he shoots or passes the ball prior to the right foot returning to the floor. Based on some of the comments, people are starting to learn this is a legal play.
