NBC News has just published an article Attacking Elon Musk after they found 150 Premium Accounts on X posting “pro-nazi” content. My Thoughts as a Jewish X User: I think a few important facts should be noted before we go any further: - Yes, 150 paid accounts may have... posted disgusting content, but keep in mind that X has about 1.3 million X as many users. - We also don’t know if the paid accounts may or may not be demonetized or even de-amplified as we don’t have access to the back end. I think there are two camps here. You can support any speech that is legal within a public square, or you can support censoring it. While I am more in the former camp, I do think that X should remove the paid status of paid subscribers who are posting pro-nazi or antisemitic statements. I can say that I do see antisemitic posts directed towards me almost daily, but what the media is ignoring is the fact that this has been a problem online for 2 decades. I have not noticed any more antisemitism on X recently than I had under Jack Dorsey. That doesn’t mean that things shouldn’t be done to stop it, but I do feel that the media may be searching for a story rather than covering a story here.show more

This is just another legacy media attack. I wouldn't be surprised if they made those accounts themselves so they could report poorly about X. They've done stuff like that before and this is why nobody trusts them any longer.

I think that X should pay attention to what they find, but also don't overreact. The article already mentioned advertisers, likely trying to get another boycott.

I think you are probably right. I do believe that that one post had 1.9 million impressions, but It's possible that it just flew under the radar. I believe that this post is now limited in reach. With that said there is no doubt a lot of horrible people posting here as with most places online. I'm sure you will see that by just looking at some of the comments below.
