The #Rockets are running a lot of 'Zoom Scissor' action as of late with Sengun/Jalen/FVV. Zoom: Down screen into a DHO. Scissor: Split cuts around a player who catches the ball at or near top of the key. It takes defenses out of desired PnR coverage, and has multiple counters.

Ex-Real Madrid player Toni Kroos has finally addressed his tweet after posting “Football won” shortly after Spain defeated Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday. 🗣️ “Well, I’ve seen that a lot of people didn’t take the tweet well, but I stand by it. I believe a real football team won on Sunday. I also believe that everyone who watched the World Cup saw that Spain had the best team in the tournament, and Argentina definitely didn’t deserve to reach the final, let alone win the World Cup. Especially against England, they didn’t play well. They won most of their games due to referee favoritism and poor football, which always resulted in fouling their opponents. So I was relieved and glad that Spain won the final, and that’s why I tweeted that.”

The film The Bengal Files, based on Direct Action Day, has now been released in theatres. Bringing such historical events to the screen is very important. The movie strongly highlights the role of Gopal Patha, whose courageous resistance saved thousands of Hindus during the violence that followed Jinnah’s call for Direct Action Day on 16th August 1946, when the Muslim League carried out a massacre.

Offense focuses on passing and relocating quickly. Ball is live once the offense gets it back. Part Two - 2 v 2 A second set of players starts high is sprints towards the corner on the initial attack. Once the offense gets the ball back it is live 2 v 2. Defense needs to be aware that they have help to only one side and should push the offensive player in that direction.

I’ve been a Duke fan since I watched The Shot in 1992 with my dad. We watched March Madness every year, and that was my first core memory of college basketball. I saw Christian Laettner on Letterman later that year (the Top Ten was also a family tradition back then) and was completely enamored. I insisted on a trip to Durham so I could see Cameron Indoor Stadium. My dad made it happen when I was in high school, even though I was definitely not Duke material (athletically or academically). I’m including a terrible pic of me at the Duke bookstore circa 1997. I took my oldest son to watch Duke in the Sweet 16 in Dallas in 2024. He’s been a Blue Devil basketball fan ever since. Anyway, my point is that I don’t care what anyone thinks, I will always be a Duke fan. 🥰 Go Blue Devils!

We call it ‘flat’. - screen is below the 3PT line with butt to the baseline - typically used in inverted or G2G actions - punishes a switch - great end of clock/end of game when switching is assumed - usually forces the D to put 2 on the ball, creating a 2 on 1 on the weakside Common mistakes: - setting the screen to high, pulling the pop out of range. Must be set ~ around the nail. - killing the dribble due to pressure Adding a 45 cut to this action really stretches the D and beats virtually any coverage. 🎥 Taylor Tucker

I’ve watched everything from Mirza Ćatović and Adin Ličina with Germany U19, who are now set to face Spain in the final. Ćatović has been a key player, while Ličina impressed vs Spain in the group stage but is competing with players like Culbreath / Onyeka. I’ve been tweeting about these boys for more than 2/3 years already so there isn’t a lot to add, but there have been some developments worth talking about.
