To be honest, we have a huge problem in this country and unless things are brought under strict governance control, we are going to end up in a very bad place. This is in Peponi road area. It is obvious that permits were given for construction where they shouldn’t have been. It is obvious that architectural and engineering standard deployed here were suspect. Yet someone signed off on these plans and some contractor proceeded to build on soil! People own and are living in these structures that will come down at any moment. And yet, permits have been granted for construction right next door and construction has began. At what cost? Wangari Maathai told us, Nature Fights Back….
