Boo hoo😢. Stop being a whiney loser. You think Hovland didn’t want to play? Grow up. Maybe stop making infantile excuses and spend more time wondering how your fans’ despicable behaviour motivated the Euros and what a chasm there was in the quality of captaincies.

It was the only way Harris English was getting half a point.

Greedy USA bastards, demanded $200k to play while Europeans played for free. European players had more team pride and teamwork. Smashed USA in all team format sessions. USA were only good in the individual element, the singles. No team energy when you care abt $$$ over country.

7 points ahead and boat racing the U.S. Do you seriously think Donald woke up this morning trying to figure out how to steal 1/2 point? And if they did, don’t you think it would have been Hjogaard that would have been “injured”?

Funny how a rule that has twice benefitted the US team is all of a sudden wrong 😂 - play better Friday and Saturday instead of crying! #RyderCup

Necks usually are fine and hurt less when you’re sitting on the floor. They tend to hurt a bit more when swinging a golf club at 120mph. It’s a real shame as his extra half point would have made it more comfortable for Europe.

this Ryder Cup will be more remembered for your awful fans than the absolutely normal procedural withdrawal of an injured player

The 2025 win by Europe will forever require an asterisk. #RyderCup

Give Harris English the point and change the score to Europe still winning 14.5 to 13.5 🤷🤷

Sore losers. 2 things, he injured his neck when Europe were 7 and 1/2 points clear. The second thing is this ,The rule sees the United States and European captains put the name of one golfer in an envelope that is only opened if a player from the opposition is injured and cannot compete in the final round of singles. It helped the US in 1991 when Steve Pate could not play and Europe in 1993 when Sam Torrance had to withdraw.2 s

I see all the European fans talking about love of country over money. Yet their entire team chooses to play somewhere other than Europe ….. to make money!!! Most of them live in America…… they don’t choose to live and play in Europe🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I don't doubt for a minute that Hovland was not well enough to play. He's way too much of a competitor to miss something as big as a Ryder Cup singles day. But he shouldn't be awarded any points. That goes against the principles of athletic competition. Change the rules.

Steve Pate was injured in a car accident the night before the event started, and his bruised ribs prevented him from playing in singles. If the Americans had been forced to forfeit a full point, the Europeans would have retained that Ryder Cup with a score of 14-14.

You were beaten fair and square according to rules you agreed in advance. Well done to the team USA players, who are significantly better sportsmen than their supporters.

How do you get a sudden neck injury? He didn't have it on his 18th hole on Saturday. Did he and Lowery fall out of bed together perhaps?

It was investigated. He had an MRI scan that showed a disc bulge in his neck.

Maybe maths is a problem , remove the half point and Europe still win. Your fans showed no class with how they acted on the course and its nice to see you carry it on here, USA nearly snatched it with a great last day but the best team won.

🤣🤣🤣 why! Victors one of European best players vs ur worst. If you want to play hypotheticals, Europe are 1/2 a point down by him not playing. Hope that helps 👍

It's a stupid rule, and hopefully it will change. But he had an MRI and a disk injury in his neck. Tried to hit balls and counted. He did not FAKE this injury. Attack the rule, but don't attack Victor personally. He deseperately wanted to play, but couldn't. In two years, that's a forfeit.

That's not even logical, Europe needed 2 1/2 points to win, wouldn't they want more opportunities to get those points? You are assuming that he would get beaten, but it still would not affect the score, why complain? US had a great Day 3, but it was lost on Days 1 & 2 already.

It was investigated: he had an MRI, which found a bulging disc. I wonder if he’ll potentially have to deal with this flaring up for the rest of his career, but sure laugh it up over 1/2 pt that didn’t even matter in the end.
