Need a bit of community input: We’re currently working on the melee system for PMC. Internally, we’re debating between a few options: Left click lets you perform a 3-hit combo if you spam it. Right now, if you attack from a narrow angle behind an enemy, you perform a...

If someone sneaks up behind me without me noticing they’ve earned that one hit kill without the need for windup, I like the way it looks in the video!

I don't know a single exfil game apart from Hunt where melee has actual usage apart from running better. Backstabs should definitely be in a lot more games imo, apart from a quick melee, the risk vs. reward of a dedicated melee weapon should pay off massively. 1/2

I think the backstab mechanic makes more sense since stealth would be an important aspect of close quarter combat in BL, not much to say about the 3 hit combo. I think the backstab is the better option with very reduced damage if it hits the enemy's front.

I would say how often do you expect player to engage with their knife? Seems probably slim but idk.. I would lean towards a one shot no charge.. or the easiest budget wise

I might have sucked at sneaking up on them lol 🤷‍♂️ I would vote cheapest unless I’m missing context for PvE where it’s used more

It's because you wasn't able before :( The idea is to be able to get rid of "trash" pve by sneaking and backstabing them without using ammo, or making noise.

1 hit kill should be combined with a sneak req. I could see this being exploited by just jumping around and trying to get behind someone otherwise. Absolutely love the combo mechanic.

Profilbild von BlackoutCedar

IMO the charged hit and the sneak attack are awesome additions Id just make sure its not too easy to jump behind someone and backstab them. But I think that'd just be a movement thing.

Reminds me of Counterstrike knifing. Very satisfying getting a backstab.

would the knife one shot pve too? i personally love the idea of being rewarded for being able to sneak up to a player and get close enough to one tap them in the back.

hm, a 3 slash combo with left click + a right click charge atk + an instakill option sounds right i guess having a charge right click atk would be good to kill an anomaly in stealth + the chance to backstabbing a player id say implementing both could be nice

Imo, the instant kill is good for PvE but bad for PvP maybe add a res or damage nerf on PMC for this one. But I'm pretty sure getting insta killed from the back by a knife won't be so fun, specially for a game of this genre

i think a different input for a charged attack which would also be a backstab would be better having a normal attack turn into something else because you hit the back seems like it would be odd

I say go with whatever works but doesn't cost y'all too much time and money, in terms of what I think people will be using more though I'd have to say the first option

A one shot knife mechanic would be very over power or underpowered depending on the movement of the game and the ability to get behind people. Great role play and pve idea. But might be tricky for PvP. Either worthless or insanely op- sit in a corner and knife run like a rat

Depends on the damage I guess if you are able to get close with a knife shame on me but if you can tank some shots and kill me with a 3tap combo that just shouldn’t be

I would kinda like the animation angling towards armpit because thats where you would attempt hitting someone wearing a plate carrier. Slashing sideways is impotent jihadi coded

A single, simple hit in the back to one shot seems kinda OP (and frustrating for the PVP?) maybe charging the hit might balance it a little bit yeah

Profilbild von Grindor32

Always having access to a heavy swing may make the light attack useless without someway to balance. Dedicating it to a backstab rewards gameplay, and punishes the enemy’s negligence if they fail to avoid it, which sounds good to me 🤓

1 shots in games like this don’t feel good but it would need to be tested. I could see potential where you’d wanna watch your back more because of this mechanic. Also movement, is the movement slow and tactical or COD movement. How easily can you get behind a player etc

how about right click can either be instantly pressed for more damage or charged up where you dont 1 hit body but you can one hit someone in the head or back? Idk if that seems too broken but I like how it sounds on paper

I’d say charge attack, it should be rewarding for the attacker and punishing for the defender for letting someone get that close to you. Also the backstabbing is great for pve stuff imo

Jordan Peterson: "If you can't fix your room, you can't fix your life" "Why should you even bother improving yourself? The answer is something like: so you don't suffer anymore stupidly than you have to. And maybe so others don't have to either. It's not some casual self-help doctrine. If you don't organize yourself properly, you'll pay for it. In a big way. And so will the people around you." Peterson continues: "You can say, 'Well, I don't care about that.' But that's actually not true, you do care about it. Because if you're in pain, you will care about it. It's very rare that you can find someone in excruciating pain who would say, 'Well, it would be no better if I was out of this.' Pain brings the idea that it would be better if it didn't exist along with it. It's incontrovertible." On how to start: "Look around for something that bothers you and see if you can fix it. You can do this in a room. Sit in your bedroom and think: 'If I wanted to spend ten minutes making this room better, what would I have to do?' You have to ask yourself that, it's a genuine question. And things will pop out. There's a stack of papers bugging you. Some rubbish behind your computer monitor you haven't attended to for six months. Cables tangled up." He explains why this matters: "If you were coming to see me for psychotherapy, the easiest thing would be to get you to organize your room. You think, is that psychotherapy? It depends on how you conceive the limits of your being. Start where you can start. If something announces itself as in need of repair that you could repair, fix it. Fix a hundred things like that, your life will be a lot different." On fixing what you repeat every day: "People tend to think of their daily routines as trivial. You get up, brush your teeth, have breakfast. Those probably constitute 50% of your life. People think, they're mundane, I don't need to pay attention to them. No, that's exactly wrong. The things you do every day are the most important things you do. Hands down. Just do the arithmetic." On staying within your competence: "Sometimes you don't know how to fix something. Imagine you're walking down the street and there's a guy who's alcoholic and schizophrenic and has been homeless for ten years. That's a problem. It would be good if you could fix it, but you haven't got a clue. You walk around that and go find something you could fix. Just because something announces itself as in need of repair doesn't mean it's you, right then and there, who should repair it. You have to have some humility. You don't walk up to a helicopter that isn't working and just start tinkering away." Peterson shares the key insight: "As soon as you give your mind a genuine aim, it'll reconfigure the world in keeping with that aim. That's actually how you see to begin with. You've all seen the video where you watch basketballs being tossed back and forth, and while you're doing that, a gorilla walks into the middle of the video and you don't see it. If you thought about that experiment for five years, that would be about the right amount of time to spend thinking about it." He explains what it reveals: "What it shows you is that you see what you aim at. If you can get one thing through your head, that would be a good one. You see what you aim at. One inference you might draw from that is: be careful what you aim at. What you aim at determines the way the world manifests itself to you. So if the world is manifesting itself in a very negative way, one thing to ask is: are you aiming at the right thing?"

I hear so often from the Dommes I work with that they struggle with people online fetichizing them and simply seeing them for how sexy and beautiful they are. They project their fantasies and their desires onto you. That stops immediately once you move the attention from you to them. From 'look at me' to 'I see you'. What does that look like? When you create content, think of them and what this scene or that narrative is evoking. What will they learn from you? What they want is not to passively watch how sexy you are, but for you to train them, to give them instructions, to teach them, to guide them, to be in charge, to command them. This is not being an object but the main subject. The Authority figure. How is your content already doing that. The sexy photos can still be there, they are important to already capture des attention. But what you do with that attention once you have it, is where the power dynamic is established. Positioning yourself as more than a stunning Goddess, but actually a woman who has a voice, opinions, perspective, a philosophy, a way to doing things, teaching them what you like, how you like it, why you like it, already makes them want to be that for you. You hold the attention, you hold the power, so you direct it. And for that, you want them to know you get them and you know what lives within them... that creates the desire for you to be the one exposing it. You instantly build trust. Not because you demanded it, but because you earned it: you showed them you know what you are doing. You have experience, you understand them. They are not told to come see you, they are seduced into it. They desire it. And they will work for it. This will attract better clients (real subs) and instead of you trying to get their attention, they will work to earn yours. If you want to learn more about power dynamics, building a brand as a Pro or the psychology behind BDSM, you can now access all my trainings and classes in one place for a fraction of the cost of The Dominatrix Academy. And you can reinvest the total amount towards the Program. Message me [SECRET] for the details. This offer is not available on my website.

American Farmer Heads Into The Grocery Store To Warn Americans About What You’re Eating Popular Name Brand Foods Contain In Their Ingredients Antibiotics Only Available By Prescription Right Alongside “Wood Fibers” “This is a farm boy. We're in a grocery store today to look up some things that might be or may not be in your foods. One of them is called natamycin. Know what that is? That is a medicine by prescription, and it's in a lot of your foods. And I'll take you and show you what what's going on here. See that brand name right there? You flip this over. If you look real close, you can see it. See it? Sure is. That is a medicine by prescription. It is in a great many of shredded cheeses. They use, if you can see here on this list, you will be able to see that it has Natamycin in that. See that brand name? America's favorite. Let's see what it has to offer. Lookie right there. Natamycin. Wonder what's up with that. And for those of you that's on a diet and you think eating protein products like these breakfast sausage winners are good for you, well, let's take a look at that. How about that crap? Oh my gosh. Now that may not seem like much to you, but that nadamycin, well, that's an antifungus medicine by prescription. Yep. It's for your eyes a lot of times. Now they're putting it in our food right along with wood cellulose products. Yep. When you see cellulose, you know you're getting wood fibers. And what they're using that for is a preservative, and they're using that as an anti caking and anti fungus. They're putting antibiotics right in your food. This is a farm boy, thought you'd like to know that.”
