Here in California if dogs get in your yard and kill your livestock (birds are considered livestock) and they are still in your yard you can shoot them. I am not an advocate for killing animals but in this case I am. They will be back if you don’t.

Aw man I've lost so many chickens that I loved and sobbed like this for their little sweet hearts. They're smarter than you think. And it's easy to make them "pets" and bond with them. I'm glad I never recorded myself bawling like this.

I grew up on a farm with emus rheas geese chickens cattle etc. I get it. I used to bring this one chicken in my power wheels car my parents got me as a kid and ride him with me around the farm. One day I went inside to my grandparents house and said where's my chicken lol. He got killed that am by my grandpa and we ate him for dinner🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was 7 lol

I feel very sad for her but I can't help but see such inadequate fencing for protecting birds! Seems rather patchwork and cobbled together. If the birds were rare that fencing should be enough to protect them from wild foxes and other predators not just the dogs.

Kill the dogs, retaliation is bad, but the owners need to learn that there dogs are a problem. Why do people think that dogs can be trusted to stay? I mean through my life I've seen good boys and girls who mind there business, but then there's these ones.

The neighbors dogs should never have been wandering around and able to do that, however, that being said…if you’re going to own animals like birds in a domestic area, there needs to be adequate protection for them, including a guardian…or else this will always happen. This, unfortunately, is a fact of life when owning and caring for wildlife. I understand she’s upset, but her hyperventilating isn’t helping anything. She could’ve gotten her shit together before filming, and for the sake of that child who is so clearly picking up on her behavior. We control nothing in this life except the way we respond to situations. You can’t be weak if you want to be a farmer or breeder.

When growing up we were taught any dog that goes after other animals gets shot on sight. As once they taste the blood it wont ever stop Dog chasing deer,cows,chickens,cats whatever. And we did,a couple were our own Ends the issue Right Now

This is painful to listen to. It reminds me of when I raised doves from chicks, watched them grow and multiply, only for something to come in one day and kill them all. I still haven't recovered from that loss. People underestimate how much it hurts to lose animals you love. 💔

Dang ,my neighbor lost all his chickens and ducks a couple of years ago to coyotes. In one night. There is a super pack out here by us. If you have Predators by you ,build a better coop than that. Also ,maybe get a couple of coonhounds . Loud as hell and will alert you.

If you really wanted to protect them, you would have built a way for absolutely nothing to get onto your property. Especially dogs first. My neighbor just had a raccoon wipe out their whole, coop. Ducks,goose,chickens and rooster
